Can't figure it out I'm not sure what's going on. Color seems to change arbitrarily. Don't know whether I'm supposed to "tap to pause" during the day or not. Only one setting has information to guide my choice. And having lots of trouble getting sleep after use.
Good but new bug? Loved this but now find I'm better off not using it, as recently when you turn it on or you do anything with it like pause etc, it unticks the 'auto' box on screen brightness and for the moment between it unticking auto and the amber filter coming on, you get a bright white light to burn your retinas. That moment alone is amazingly effective at waking you up. I like to be able to choose whether or not that is ticked. Also it keeps readjusting screen brightness even when I change it back. Very frustrating.
It helps It's not as good as f.lux for windows but it really does help. Especially for the 4am feeds. Play around with the variables until you get the right mix of colour, intensity and brightness. It would be even better if I could set it to brighten after sunrise instead of before.
Does the job well It definitely helps. I don't feel as roused as I usually do when I use my phone later at night. Also, I actually feel more awake if I slide the "colour temperature" bar to "energising"(ie more blue light than usual), which really surprised me as I didn't expect much of an effect, let alone an immediate and perceptible one. The converse is kf course true when deactivating the blue light.
Doesn't compare to f.lux on Windows IMO I don't feel like the blue light is being filtered out in a good way. With intensity set to 100% the screen is unpleasant to look at, no matter the screen brightness or dimming of the app. It doesn't look like the night settings in iOS either. The light still feels harsh. I don't trust the app to do the same as f.lux or iOS 9.
Sleep Better with this App Love it... totally helps prevent the feeling of "wakefulness" by eliminating blue light during night use. My contact lenses/dry eyes don't bug me at night anymore either, I noticed a difference as soon as I started using it.
