Does one job and does it well. Once set up (<5 minutes), you will forget that it's even installed. Make sure to use the 'Auto-pause in apps' feature for banking apps and similar; Twilight effectively has access to everything on the screen in order to do its job, which (understandably) freaks certain apps out. I also blacklist my camera and photo viewing/editing apps to keep colours correct.
Way better this time around an update must have fixed the problem of the filter not staying on. I like this filter at night to read or play a game a few minutes before bed. Without this app the phone is just too bright, ouch! It's an added bonus I'll get more sleep. 😄
Its alright but there's abit of a glitch, my lock screen stayed dimmed and has the red ish tint (from the blue light filter feature) even after i closed the app and stopped it from running in the background, had to restart my phone just to get the lock screen look normal again. But the problem keeps popping up whenever i use the app or does so itself after installation on an update. Please fix it. Thanks.
Since the recent update, this app doesn't work automatically. So I should open the app, after I turned on or rebooted my phone, to make this app work. I've never had this problem before
Been using for a few months and definitely helps adjust to sleeping. App is sometimes slow to respond and freezes ocassionally.
This latest update has made the app near useless.. it was great but now pauses while in apps and every time you exit an app.
- fix for Android 5.X auto-pause in apps issues
- fix for Chromebooks
- Black quick settings tile panel with Android 8.1 and home screen filtering enabled
- Because of wallpaper filtering the app may require the storage permission on some phones, but if you are not using this you can revoke the permission after updating
- get rid of Accessibility option for auto-pause in apps as of new Play Store policies (if you are still using this, please re-configure)
