Wearables and Wear OS

We integrates with Wear OS and many other Wearable platforms (Garmin, Polar, FitBit, Galaxy Watch, Zepp,Mi Band...). You can install Sleep as Android on your watch and use its sensors for more precise sleep tracking. On Wear OS you can use a Wear OS Tile to start / stop or pause sleep tracking and check you progress without the need to interact with your phone.

Accessibility Service

The app features a series of alarm tasks called CAPCTHA which make sure you do not oversleep. Completing tasks like sheep counting, math equations or scanning a bar-code on your toothpaste will make sure you are fully awake and ready for your morning.

To make sure you won\'t sleep through your duties the app may use an Accessibility Service to prevent you from force stopping the app or turning off the device (cheating) before completing the alarm tasks (CAPTCHA). No private information are collected.

Device Admin

This app may use the Device Administrator permission.
The reason is effective CAPTCHA (a feature to make sure you wake up in the morning) so you cannot avoid alarms by uninstalling the app during an alarm.

Health disclaimer

Sleep as Android is not intended for medical use, but instead to improve general fitness and well-being especially in terms of better sleep. Any oxygen saturation tracking is performed with compatible oximeter devices such as the TicWatch 3 Pro, BerryMed oximeters... more at https://docs.sleep.urbandroid.org/devices/wearables.html

Dashboard charts are quite hideously presented & incredibly 'messy' & difficult to read at a glance. Writing data to GoogleFit seems to go awry with the occasional random half hour of sleep when I wasn't sleeping. Also, it records 'deep' sleep when my Huawei Tracker says it was 'REM' - which is right? This app seems to just confuse & mess up data logging, so I've given up on it.

Hello Bill, big sorry for the issues. Would you please send a screenshot of your dashboard to support@urbandroid.org to get a better idea of the issue? Please read here on the comparison of our data with the Sleep lab https://sleep.urbandroid.org/sleep-lab-comparison/ but this all depends on what device and setup are you using as we support many

Don't like having to have my phone so close, especially as trackers that have used breathing have been more accurate. "snoring" is regularly just deep breathing. The alarm constantly just goes off at the start of the "smart period" and has so far managed to wake me in the middle of awesome dreams most of the time and it's been awful trying to get up. I don't think it has anywhere to note things... Though it might do as its a weird setup and hardly anything is explained. Captcha is great though!

Hello Effy, you can open documentation directly from the app (three-dotted menu). If your breathing is recognized as snoring, your threshold volume is set too low. If the smart alarm is going off too early, you can set higher sensitivity. If you need any help, please, contact us at support@urbandroid.org. Many thanks.

Doesn't accurately reflect what's happened, I know I've been awake a couple of hours every night (the reason I'm trying sleep apps) but according to this I've been in a deep sleep most of the time. It also always wakes me up when I'm in the middle of a rem cycle and hasn't picked up on this. The alarm feature doesn't start out quiet enough for me since I'm such a light sleeper. I wake on the first sound rather than gradually. My old s3 phone's built in one was better.
