Developer truly invents techniques Pushes the limit on what is possible thorough mobile. I hope the developer will use his genius on other areas of app development also, other than sleep related things.

Sleep Manager Sleep manager is the best way I can categorize this app. This is in it's own league compared to other alarm apps. Development is rapid, the rare bug is squashed quickly, features are beyond expectations.

Did i even sleep? Gone of the days being awoken by the blaring alarm. And welcome to Sleep, from simple intuitive menus, ideal wake times based on your actual sleep phase to aggregating your own data. Sleep has allowed me to review what times of night i sleep the best and the times i am barely asleep. A few tweaks on my routine and im sleeping better- for longer.

Nearly 5 UI could be a little less in places but it's pretty good. Function seems more sound than many I've used. I like integration of Spotify but it needs work. I get first 10 or 12 entries in my Spotify library in alphabetical order by artist. Someday I may want to wake up to Blondie. See what you can do...=)

Great sleep monitoring app Very useful. I use it every sleep. Nice design. The smart wake up is awesome! Updates and improves frequently. I can't set an alarm from my Huawei Watch to my Nexus 5 phone via the app. When I try to set an alarm from the watch it only let me do it on the build in OS alarm clock app. No option to choose Sleep as Android as the default app for alarms on Android Wear app. Sent a mail to support about it with screenshots. Thanks for the reply, hope things will change this fall on Android Wear 2.0.

Hi Calvin, many thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately the Spotify API is very limited and painful to work with - we're trying to make the maximum we can out of it. I see, unfortunately from Android Wear there is no way for 3rd parties to register for new alarms.. this is by design and i don't know of an workaround.. Cool features, but needs automatic tracking. The sleep tracking requires way too much manual action and I feel like it hinders my sleep to keep going to the app or my watch to pause tracking when I am awake through the night (which is a lot with a baby). You have to guess how long it is going to take you to fall asleep and if you wake up a lot like me, you have to pause it many times. I also wish I could easily edit after tracking, like adding time at the beginning when I forgot to start the tracker before my first wakeup. I don't use it half the time

Hello Berta, that's one thing we are about to do in the future. Please note that if you go to bed and start sleep tracking, the app automatically calculates how long it took you to fall asleep and then cuts the start accordingly. Love the functionality but could be more user-friendly I'm really impressed with this app. It has so many functions to track sleep stages, quality, and sound. Although it does take some time to figure out all the settings and what works best for you. I like the lullaby feature which plays white noise or radio. It seems to help me have deeper sleep. You can really see the effort that has gone into producing this app. I'm looking forward to future updates.
Accurate recording, needs more features Would like the ability for the app to recommend how long i should sleep. I am just guessing i need 8:30 hours sleep. Would like 2nd bedtime reminder to actually make a noise when its bedtime. Accurate recording as far as i can tell. Preferred the older android icon for teeth brushing etc, hard too see the toothbrush as easy etc. Bit of a battery hog but its on all night so kind of makes sense.

Hello, thank you very much for your suggestion. Could you please put it up on urbandroid.uservoice.com? We are gathering all the suggestions there. A very useful application. For me Sleep like Android turned into a very useful application over the past few months. With it alerting me when to go to bed and waking me up just in the right state of sleep made my bad sleep cycle a thing of the past. I also really enjoy the integration with my Galaxy Gear S smart watch even tho it does drain quite a lot of its battery over the night.
Great! This app is really one of a kind. After the trial expired I tried other similar apps, but none of them were as good as this one. It has all of the features I want (and more) and is the best and most useful of the apps out there to keep track of sleep, and it is very easy to use. It's certainly the best alarm app.
It's the perfect sleep monitoring app I've used the app for over a month, I've got to say it's the best one I've used. Sleep as Android is such a well rounded and refined app. Even Down to the little guy on the bottom of the screen showing what you should be doing. The tracking and informing is unparalleled by the few other apps out there I've tested. Sleep will inform you on the right time to go to sleep, and even let's you know how loud you are while you sleep. You can even listen to audio, to hear the secrets in your sleep. Highly recommend.
Definitely worth buying Most 1 star reviews complain about full screen ads which is at least... Stingy ... App is def worth the buck. Simply put, the best alarm app I've ever had (and yes, I've tried and paid for a bunch of them, on iOS and Android). UI could be more intuitive but this app makes up for it on the functionality side, allowing a great deal of fine tuning
Very Useful! This app is different from other alarm apps because it allows you to easily see how well you slept and if you use a mini game to wake up as an alarm, the alarm won't stop no matter what you do, so it really helps me wake up in the morning. I also really like the smart period alarm since it wakes you up a certain period of time before your actual alarm so you can snooze all you want for 20, 30, 40 + minutes. Overall fantastic with some awesome and unique features!!
Backup / Restore DOES NOT WORK when migrating to a new phone. Old phone claims it is backing up.... Tried both Android's built in backup/restore (yes it is enabled), but on the new device it just gives me the new user wizard and setup. Tried Sleepcloud backup. It uploaded, but new device offers zero option for restoring data.
Urbandroid Team September 15, 2016
Hello Alvin, do you have the SleepCloud Backup addon installed on your new device? Check the left hamburger menu > Backup > Download from cloud Seems to work in most cases but... Vibration on the watch could be more intense in gentle Wake Mode. Since the Vibration patterns differ from each other, it would be nice, if they both would vibrate the same. While my phone is vibrating as "hell", my watch is still keeping vibrating once or twice. Another nice thing would be, if the watch begins the waking process with increasing vibrations and after a period of time the phone begins to support the watch. Also a feature for adjusting vibration patterns and Intension would be nice.
Urbandroid Team August 4, 2016
Hello Bruno, you can adjust the phone/watch vibration start time independently in Settings-Alarm default settings. Haven't had it long. So far, so good. Ive used the sleep tracker modes, the lullaby modes to fall asleep, I'm very happy with those areas of the app. When I've tried further modes, I shall Endeavour to update here. Oh! I forgot the wake up modes, really gentle and smoothly wakes one up.

Hello, many thanks for your nice feedback! Is there still anything missing from the app for you or are there better apps out there? Thank you very much, Jiri Tricky at first but very interesting sleep analysis Its basically a smart phone alarm clock that monitors your sleeping and shows you when your in REM sleep. Also suggested bed times. Its tricky at first but the learning curve is quick. It even records snoring and talking in your sleep. Fun little app and cheap too

Hello, many thanks for your nice feedback! Is there still anything missing from the app for you or are there better apps out there? Thank you very much, Jiri Doesn't work for anything The alarm either wakes me up still exhausted or I wake up refreshed before the alarm sounds off. This leads me to believe this is just a crackpot idea or science not based on any facts. But if it's an editors choice I think people should still give it a shot with the trial and see if it works for you. Thanks to the devs for having a trial available in the first place even though you probably did it for marketing reasons.
Urbandroid Team October 10, 2016
Hello, we just got 1* from you although the review seems positive. Are you missing something in the app? If you do, please write to our support at info@urbandroid.org. Thank you. Works surprisingly well While not as good as an on-body tracker, it keeps track of sleep well, and I like the various alarm features. This is an app Steve Jobs would hate: it was designed by engineers for engineers, with tons of capabilities and options, making it a bit complicated to figure out at first.
Urbandroid Team September 14, 2016
Many thanks for your feedback, we were quite amused by your description :) You are correct, although we are trying to simplify things as best as we can, the engineering approach is quite obvious :) LOVE it! GREAT app! I will be buying paid version! This is the best app for my sleep apnea and insomnia! Amazing! Other than the sleep apnea I also wake up every hour on the hour with insomnia for 72 hour increments. This app is already helping me see patterns. Records snoring, talking in sleep with music or sounds to help you fall asleep, even if you need a quick nap. Detects your best REM sleep with levels and times. Many sounds for alarms. I have so much more to explore in this free version. I will definaty be buying the full version!
A great view to a snooze Took a few to figure out all the cool features that are available, but there are plenty. Gives me a great view into my sleep patterns and snoring. It does pick up noises from my partner, but they're way louder than me, so nothing to be done.
Extremely helpful tool. Integrates with SFit. NO NASTY POP-UPS! With the meds I'm taking, a sleep analysis tool is very helpful. I'm still learning how to interpret all the data, my doctor seems to know. Best part, it seamlessly integrates with the S Fit program on my phone so I no longer have to input bed time and wake-up time. Recommend this program.
Seems ok...but.... ...my phone has heartbeat sensor, iris recognition, and other sensor features... its the s7 edge...but this app only lets you test for sleep apnea using other devices rather than the phones featured sensors...make use of the sensors available please, we cant all afford to buy every damn add on and device to use with everything. If the phone has it, the app should use it... I also notice that it doesnt allow for irregular sleep patterns, like mine... fix these and i will consider improving my review.
Urbandroid Team October 10, 2016
Hello, thank you for your feedback. The phone's heart beat sensor cannot be used for continuous heart rate measurement throughout the night - you would need to keep your finger on it all the time! Regarding iris recognition - what do you have in mind? What could it be used for? Too complicated First night it didn't register my sleep because I didn't know how to turn that function on (I thought I did). The second night, I set an alarm at 7.30, but it woke me up at 6.30, because my 8 hours of sleep were finished. The 7.30 alarm went off when I was in the shower. During the day, some alarm went off because I need to nap, even though I didn't set it up. The tutorial explains what the app can do, but not how to use it.
Urbandroid Team October 11, 2016
Hello Felix, the app doesn't move the alarm because of your 8 hours being finished. There is a smart wake up feature that looks for your light sleep phase and then wakes you up in a adjustable window (default 0-30 minutes before alarm). If you want me to help you with anything write me at info@urbandroid.org, ideally send a log (menu-report a bug) Uninstalling again. The settings were already convoluted, now it takes like two hours to browse through the settings to tweak just the right setting. The settings are a trainwreck. It pisses me off that I had to download a second app for binaural sleep sounds. Oh, and your disclaimer for in app purchases says that it's strictly for buying the full version. Liars! You're lucky I gave you two stars.
Urbandroid Team October 11, 2016
Hello James, thank you for your feedback. You don't have to download any second app for binaural sounds, they are in the basic feature set (Settings-Lullaby-Binaural beats). Not sure about the disclaimer - where do you see it? If you want me to help you get to the right settings, please write me at info@urbandroid.org Complicated, not intuitive. I can never figure out if I'm setting it right or not, adding stress to night time routine. Also can't tell if I've stopped it in the morning. Smart alarm isn't smart, it just wakes me up at the earliest minute in the 30 minute window. Does NOT report correct info to Google Fit, the main reason I tried it. Major pain. Not worth it, even free.
Urbandroid Team September 22, 2016
Sorry about that. If you would like to get additional info on the app, please contact me on info@urbandroid.org and I will assist you. Or check out our documentation http://sleep.urbandroid.org/documentation/. Thank you Lifechanging This works really well. I have the smart period set to 90 min and have a lot more time in the day because I wake up when I'm in a lighter sleep phase. So no groggy zombie period. If I set the alarm for 5.30 am I get woken up anytime after 4 up until 5.30. I make more use of my mornings and have more energy even though I spend less time sleeping.
Confusing interface and too many options The idea of the app is good, but all I want is a way of keeping track of the amount of sleep I get. This app is too complicated, doing stuff like messing around with my headphones volumes. I've uninstalled it and just started setting an alarm for 7 hours sleep every night, that basically does what I need.
Urbandroid Team October 11, 2016
Hello Ed, thank you for your feedback. You can just disable smart wake up and lullabies (which is disabled by default anyway) and there would be nothing disturbing you from only tracking the amount of sleep / deficit. Not working anymore The app has stopped recording sleep data most of the time. The chart area where sleep data is supposed to show is blank/black with no sleep graph at all. The top half of the graph screen where noise is supposed to be recorded is green all the way to the top almost. There is no noise going on during the sleep period. This all began about a month ago. Can you help?
Urbandroid Team September 13, 2016
Dear Marsha, please send me a debug log (menu - report a bug) after a night of sleep tracking and I'll take a look at it! Thank you very much. Jiri Really like it I have insomnia and rely on sleep medication. This app helped me to build a strong routine and stick to it, meaning I can take less meds. I have better sleep and more energy throughout the day. Plus the recordings help me find out how restless I am. I'd highly recommend.
Best alarm available I use this app in addition to my Radio to get the day going. The sleep tracking option allows you to monitor your sleep cycle, noise and analyze it. The Captcha option to turn off the alarm is wonderful for people who snooze or turn off important alarms. The smart wakeup makes it a lot easier to wake up at your lightest sleep. Highly recommend this app.
LG G3 Alarm doesn't go off sometimes Sometimes I want to do let's say 20 or 45min nap. Then I oversleep and frantically grasp at my phone and when i touch it it starts up. I'm not sure what would cause this to mess up on naps yet do well on long sleep. The tracking features are nice though, it is giving me an idea of how much rem vs sws I am getting, and reflects my own experiences i.e. lots of movement correlating with lots of dreams when i awaken. For now i use a backup alarm when i use this.
Urbandroid Team October 4, 2016
Hello, many thanks. Reliability of the alarm is our top priority. Currently we dont have any reports of a misfunctioning alarm apart from user errors or firmware bugs. Could you maybe send a debug report (menu-report a bug) when this issue would reoccur? Thank you Eh After one night's use: It never tracked when I was awake. I woke 3 times and it counted that as a light sleep. I set my alarm for 4:00 and it woke me up at 3:30. 30 minutes doesn't seem like much, but 4 is already an hour earlier than I'm used to and like I said, I woke up 3 times. Lastly, the app is very confusing. The tutorial doesn't do anything to help. I'd give 1-2 stars but this one night's use to I'm being generous.
Urbandroid Team September 14, 2016
Hello, this is a limitation on the sleep actigraphy method we are using. It is great to recognize between deep and light sleep, but for awake times we need your input - using the pause feature. For more info on this please consult http://sleep.urbandroid.org/documentation/core/background/#sleep-actigraphy. Thank you. Well made and a great idea This app works as advertised, if you set it up right you will wake up feeling more rested. Recommend using with a wearable. I do wish it would natively support more complex schedules like multiphasic schedules, setting bed times, etc., but it does its job well.
Good Full disclosure: I've got the paid add-on to remove advertisements. It works well... I think? Perhaps my mattress is too cushy, but it registers my general sleep patterns. I like the alarm feature, but find myself trying to outsmart it by staying very still when I wake up in the morning to prevent the alarm from ringing lol
Almost perfect Great app, worth buying. The main improvement I'd like to see is on the UI side. It feels like it's aimed at sleep tracking enthusiasts, with high information density. I'm a casual, most of the time when I look at the stats, I just want to glance at some interesting stuff, without devoting much mental capacity to it. I think something like Google Fit, just some highlights and charts (currently accessed through a FAB, which feels wrong), would work very nicely as a main page.
Love it! Very effective The only complaint is that I would like more customization of the wake-up tests. I'm always afraid of passing the tests while half-asleep. But, I haven't slept in once while the alarm was set and I've had to get up. An overall great program.
Urbandroid Team October 14, 2016
Hello Jenn, thank you for your feedback! Is there anything specific you'd like to see in the Captchas (wake-up tests)? There are some possibilites of customization and also the API is open so it is possible to create more captchas by anyone. I've learned a lot I've learned a lot about my own sleep patterns thanks to this app. For example, I have a pattern of deeper sleep on days I go out in the sun. I also tend to sleep 8 or more hours 2 days in a row and then I have a 6 hour or less night. This pattern tends to repeat over and over. It's fascinating.
Excellent This is the best alarm app. I like the QR code scanning to make you get up feature, which is now better than ever with built in QR scanning rather than relying on external app. Also easy way to postpone next alarm, and so many other little things well thought out.
Urbandroid Team January 12, 2016
