I noticed a difference the first day I loaded this. Incredible how adding a deep breath and a few seconds of waiting for an app to open creates a wall. We're so ridiculously used to immediate gratification! I would love it if I could set a time that would give another pause during app use. THANKS a simple but great app!
Hi, Instructions did not produce desired results. Icon added to home screen merely created a link. So when I click on it I am taken to the same instructions page the app led me to in the first place
I am so thankful for this app. thank you so much. I did not realize truly the extent that instant gratification changes my life and mindset in *drastic* ways. So the concept of this is actually changing MY life. I have so much more to say but this is only a Google play review. I have other ideas as well, but they're pretty specific/personal so../// this app works great for me. I wonder if something like it exists for pc.
It's a great concept that would work if I didn't already have the ingrained habit of accessing my apps through the app switch button. It creates a shortcut on your homepage that links out to a web page (inacessable offline) with a breathing exercise that then launches the desired app. If it launched the breathing exercise no matter how you launched the app it would be great, and not as a browser app that crashes fairly often. Heard about this through the if/then podcast by slate (which T. Dalton Brown held his ground very well under so much scrutiny and convinced me of Dopamine Labs ethicasy and importance). I just wish Space lived up to what it aims to do.
Although the app is simple, it has a good constructive way of letting you kill your addictions to apps you check too often. As others have mentioned, it would be nice if there was a tracker to see your usage habits.
Thank you for fixing the text on the space screen. Definitely helps me to think twice before opening certain apps.
- Breathing circle size is adjustable to fit your own pace
- Fixed breathing text animation
