This colorful educational App for Android has all 52 illustrated picture flash cards (plus audio of each card’s text) from the Yes or No? Fun Deck® by Super Duper® Publications. Select the cards you want students to see, and have your students answer yes/no questions to practice basic questioning, answering, and reasoning skills. The prompts include questions like, “Can a cow bark?” and “Can a flower grow?” The Automatic Scoring option allows the students to choose “Yes” or “No” to answer the question correctly.
This App is simple to use — each student looks at an illustration and either reads the prompt or touches the screen to listen to the prompt and answer choices. The student then responds by touching his/her answer. Move to the next card by sliding the card currently on the display screen to the left or right. To move to the next student, slide the bar at the top of the screen to the side. You can also advance cards and players automatically by selecting the Auto-Advance option in the Game Options menu. When you finish, view the results, and email them to as many addresses as you like.
Yes or No? Fun Deck® App lets you:
• Select all 52 cards or just the ones you want students to see.
• Enter all your students’ names.
• Track correct and incorrect responses for unlimited students.
• Score responses manually or automatically.
• Email your results at the end of each game.
(Note: The App resets all data to zero at the start of each new game, so at the end of a game, email yourself any data you want to keep.)
•simple, predictable language
•engaging, reassuring audio narration
•rewarding animation and sound effects
This app teaches yes/no questions and develops joint attention, reciprocity, and early language skills. Each answer screen has two Buddy Bears—one is nodding “yes” and the other is shaking his head “no.” Children touch the Buddy Bear who answers the question correctly.
These themed stories are included:
•Buddy Bear at the Beach—e.g., “Buddy Bear is at the beach. He brought something to wear. Is it pants?”
•Buddy Bear at the Grocery Store—“Buddy Bear is at the grocery store. He is buying fruit. Is it an apple?”
•Buddy Bear at Home—"Buddy Bear is at home. He wants something shiny. Is it a ring?”
•Buddy Bear at the Park—“Buddy Bear is at the park. He sees something pretty. Is it a butterfly?”
•Buddy Bear at School—“Buddy Bear is at school. He has something to read. Is it a newspaper?”
Once you start the app, tap on one of the five stories. Back, forward, and repeat arrows provide easy screen navigation. Correct responses are reinforced with a friendly “Good job!”
Although the information on the left states that this app is available in all languages, it is only presented in English.
You can save all of the information for later, including the score, measurement details, location of the harvest and hunter.
The easy to use application will guide you through each measurement, giving illustrated examples. Simply enter your measurements as fractions, and it will then do all of the calculations for you.
Currently the application allows scoring of Whitetail Deer (typical), Bear, and Bison. Many more species will be added in the near future.
If you would like to recommend the next species, or have other suggestions on new features to improve the application, please let me know!
