I love the app & being able to view a lot of options at one time & have used it to find some of our favorite places! The biggest problem that I have with the HomeAway app & it's the same with all of them, the "per night" average is nowhere close to the actual per night charge, no matter what property you choose. It wastes time having to go into each property, enter the dates & then get a quote, just to see what the price MAY be. Additionally, availability is sometimes off, which may be a problem that can't be avoided. However, one thing that can, Rental Agreements. Letting a potential client know if a lengthy rental agreement will be necessary & what the terms are, prior to booking, seems a no-brainer to me. It would save the home owner a lot of wasted time, or so it would seem.

Good app, we use it all the time. However, there are a couple areas of improvement. First, I prefer to use the map when performing searches. It's hard to get to some of the other boxes, as they are "stacked". If you swipe over to another listing from the bottom boxes, it takes you all over the map instead of staying in one small geographical location. Also, the favorites list is great. But it would be even better if we could "hide" listings if we know we won't select it.

Zero customer protection. Phone operator was half-chatting with friends in the background. The contact support page on the app cannot be accessed. The email they provided in emails for customer service was invalid. I booked and cancelled reservations based on the cutoff time on the app, but then the operator told me that the cutoff time will follow the policy of the host, not Stayz. When the host refused to approve the cancellation, Stayz told me to essentially sort it out with the host.
