Edited this lower since the app steam link for mobile is literal hot garbage. I use it all the time on my laptop to my desktop which works, but literally unplayable on mobile since it loves to randomly stop registering the controller which is absolutely stupid. Also when you decide to go without a psychical controller, it'll black screen and show only the virtual controller buttons on screen. please fix this mess.

New update broke the app. Now when I connect to my PC I can hear the responses to button presses and even was able to launch a game, but the display is completely blank and there's a connection circle in the bottom. I've tested my home connection so that shouldn't be an issue. The app is completely unusable now

it's a great app if you know how to work it. No it will not turn on your PC for you and No it's not recommended if you don't have a Bluetooth controller to pair to your phone. Yes you'll need a strong PC, know how to use big picture mode, and Strong internet connection. I love the effort put on by the devs. I hope they continue to support this app. If you hook your Phone to a stand or controller it's like having a mini gaming TV or steam deck anywhere in your home.
