Description
This is a Sega Saturn Emulator for Android based on Yabause and Saturn.emu. It load cue/iso/bin files but game compatibility is limited.
Please see http://yabause.org/compatibility-list/ for game compatibilities . Currently this emulator will run quite slowly on most android devices, but you can nevertheless play with it and see if your device can run it.
Sound is off by default, you can try turning it on and see how it runs.
This emulator is fully GPL license compilant, You can find the full source codes at

So many ignorant people!! Please people read the description before leaving a negative comment, even on high end pc's that cost thousands the saturn has problems running so you can't expect it to run full speed on an android phone, keep up the good work and we are eagerly awaiting any updates or new versions :).

Note 2 App works good. Took chris is advice on changing the options it works better but still alittle choppy. Playing dragon force on the go is awesome!! Would be 5 stars if it could go at full speed.
Mike Garcia
Not working choppy gameplay Really was looking forward to playing shining in the Holy Ark finally got it to work only for gameplay to be choppy highly disappointed

Good work so far! The Saturn is notoriously hard to develop for. Support their efforts to save Sega's classic console. Awesome job so far, guys!

It starts the game But its way too choppy and it refuses to play at all... it freezes up almost immediately and youre lucky if you even get to the start menu. Poor performance at best. Not even worth downloading.
Come ON guys! There is a working Dreamcast emulator that runs perfectly smooth and this is a laggy mess. The Dreamcast is 128 bits and hella more advanced than Saturn. If this has been made, why can't you make this emulator run smooth? Come on, it isn't PS4, it's an old 32 bit console. I gotta give it stars for it actually working, great work so far, but it has to improve. I UNDERSTAND the console is hard to program for, but with today's hardware it shouldn't be a big problem. I'm not a hater, I'm just a bit disappointed
Great emulator This is a great emulator but the unfortunate thing, other than the Saturn being difficult to program for, is that there are so many negative reviews here from ignorant people. Just because the Saturn is an old system with slow specs and that a ps1 emulator runs perfectly fine doesn't mean anything. The hardware architecture is completely different and even the Saturn emulators for the PC ran into problems early on. Do not even bother downloading this if you are expecting 100% accurate emulation or if you are going to leave a negative review because whatever game you want to play doesn't work or runs slow. This is a free application that is a work in progress and we should be glad that we have the chance to try it out. Also... Reading the description of the application you are downloading before you scurry back to leave a hateful negative review would help a lot of you.
Has potential, works good on my NVIDIA Shield Tablet! For people who are saying that they have phones like an s2 or so, you people don't understand emulators obviously. Even the most powerful phone out today will struggle with the emulator, simply because how it was built. Back then game developers didn't want to make games because of the hardware... Good job guys, maybe there will be a Saturn emulator for Android in the future with excellent playability!
Noobs, please note... With respect, you may not know how difficult emulation for the Sega Saturn has proven to be on ANY device, even top line PC rigs. Saturn, unlike PS1, had a reputation for being a remarkably exotic console and difficult to develop games for, which must make developing an Android app, keeping it light in size, a hellish task. The "name.emu" apps are some of the most consistently efficient emus on Android. Stick with it, as app-builds and android devices improve, they'll get there.
Needs more work I love the saturn. I love dragon force. I love albert odessy. These games are playable the way the emu works at the moment but you really have to love it to get any enjoyment out of it in its current state. PLEASE TRY YOUR HARDEST TO FIX THIS. I LOVE YOU BUT YOUR KILLING ME. Thank you.
Old memories in my hands Running this on an S5, it's such a trip to be able to play games I loved as a kid anywhere I want, whenever I want. This app works really well for me, the lag is only noticeable when the sound is turned up. Considering I was worried I wouldn't be able to play my favorite game at all, ever again (Panzer Dragoon Saga) since I lost my original discs and don't really want to shell out $400 for a new set, this app is a dream come true. Shame that some people can't stop to read the description.
Works but slow..... Real slow. Okay I am testing this on two devices one is the DooGee Dagger (antutu score in the 31000) and a laptop with android X86 (score in the 54000 both are opengl es 2.0 compliant.) The phone slow and choppy. The laptop plays well on most games though there are some games that are still slow. Going to try the allwinner A80 optimusboard (scores in the 68k ~70k plus have opengl es 3.0 compliance) so hopefully it'll play at full speed on all my games. The emulator is good, but your device needs to be ultra fast.
Sega saturn : CPU 2× Hitachi SH-2 (32-bit) RISC (28.6 MHz ) ......... i have s2 plus dual core 1.2 GHz and 32 bit and ram 1 GB but the game is too too slow why??? by the way playstation need more cpu and ram but the application it run so good.... it need more work when it run good on old device i'll give you 5 stars
I appreciate the effort but.......... The app just stops loading save states randomly. I'm trying to enjoy some classics on my phone........and oh hey, force close when loading.......start over and then oh actually we can't load again. If you fix this app it would be awesome, but right now its just a let down
Dragon Force works great for Note 2 Instructions: saturnemu or yabause, link to actual website through app download direct from site. I couldn't get the bios to load the game from the saturn dashboard from app downlded from store. SATURNS roms ARE .RAR. U need 2 download an app to unpack .rar. unpacks/unzips into 2 formats: .cue and .bin. From saturnemu mine will load .bin. Make sure when you playing with saturnemu options to get ur gamespeed right. Options-> video Frsmeskip set 0. Cpu-> gpu off. Hgest color off.

MAME4droid (0.139u1)
MAME4droid (0.139u1) is developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco) as a port of the MAME 0.139 emulator by Nicola Salmoria and the MAME team. It emulates arcade games supported by this version of MAME which includes over 8000 different ROMs.
* MAME4droid is an EMULATOR and DOES NOT INCLUDE ROMS OR COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL OF ANY KIND.
This version of MAME4droid was designed to be used with dual-core Android devices because it is based on the PC MAME version which requires higher specifications than the older versions.
Even with a high end device, do not expect "modern" arcade games from the 90s and beyond to necessarily work at full speed or compatibility. Some games like Outrun and the Mortal Kombat series are badly optimized and require at least a 1.5ghz dual core device.
With over 8000 games supported, some games will run better than others; some games may not run at all. It is impossible to support such a vast number of titles, so please do not email the developer asking for support for a specific game.
After installing, place your MAME-titled zipped roms in /sdcard/MAME4droid/roms folder.
This MAME4droid version uses only '0.139' romset.

Samurai II: Vengeance
Samurai: Way of the Warrior was featured in Best Games of 2009 by Apple – Samurai II is a true successor, aided by over a year of focused development. Overall production values and vicious action put Samurai II on par with console 3D brawlers. Screenshots don’t do Samurai II justice – the fluid action has to be seen running at 60 frames per second.
But looks alone won’t carry a game – the developers listened to fan feedback and improved gameplay throughout. With a new virtual d-pad, dynamic camera, environmental puzzles, traps, and vicious new enemies, Samurai II is brand new experience for hack ‘n’ slash gamers on the go.
Samurai II sends Daisuke on a quest for revenge across the war-scorched countryside. From a seafaring village to a flying fortress to the legendary Isle of the Dead, the samurai will stop at nothing to hunt down his arch-enemy Orochi. Will he get his Vengeance?
FEATURES:
★ Intuitive virtual joystick ensures you’re slicing up baddies, not swiping the screen.
★ Dynamic camera finds the best perspective for each encounter, adding variety while keeping focused on the action.
★ Tense, quick and gory battle sequences!
- Battle hordes of on-screen enemies wielding new weapons and sporting unique abilities.
- Stay nimble and plan your attacks – roll out of harm’s way and eliminate ranged enemies like the Samurai Archer before they can strike.
★ Improved game play includes new features.
- Solve environmental puzzles, avoid dangerous traps, and discover useful items.
- The fight is on - not to worry, the combat never takes a back seat to platforming or fetch-quests.
★ RPG elements reward skilled players – upgrade the Samurai’s health, buy new attack combos and upgrade them to devastating levels.
★ Between levels, gorgeous anime-style comic panels tell the samurai’s tale with original hand-drawn artwork.
★ New survival mode pits the samurai against waves of enemies, giving hardcore players a score-attack mode to hone their skills. Two games in one!
★ Advanced AI system on par with console games. Goal Oriented Action Planning architecture is used in many PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 games.
★ Original soundtrack – in classic samurai movie style, soft music builds with the heat of battle.
*60 FPS only on capable devices.
