Utter garbage. Ive been using this app for a decade and they decided to just randomly break everything. The new UI is Janky and looks dated right out of the gate, and the app freezes, crashed, and fails to play songs. Despite multiple updates to "fix" this garbage, the app is still outright broken. I don't know who decided to push this garbage, I want the old Mediamonkey back. Edit: No, the new version is not stable. Months later and it still crashes. Moving to a new app after 10 years. GJ

Sorry to hear about the poor experience. Although version 2 is objectively far more stable than version 1.x, it seems to have issues on certain devices. If you could report to the MMA forum with details of what triggers the crashes & debug logs (Help > submit log), we should be able to resolve the issues you're seeing.

This recent update has made Mediamonkey a chore to use while driving. When holding a track down you used to be presented with options such as play now, play next, play last and search at the bottom of screen. Now you need to click into another menu and scroll through that to access the same options. Not safe to do while driving, so you're stuck. The UI has also changed too much, why do software developers not seem to understand one of the golden rules of design: "if it ain't broke don't fix it"?

Thanks for the feedback. Many users had issues with the old UI, but many experienced users seem to prefer it (at least for cases like you describe), so we're looking into the best solution to meet both needs.

Love MediaMonkey, when it works properly. I use it mostly through Android Auto, but after the latest update, it doesn't work on my car's screen. GPS, messages, Pandora, Spotify, all work perfect. It's only MM that doesn't work. I've sent 2 debug reports and heard nothing back. I sent a support email, and I was told to join a forum. This almost has me wanting to go back to RocketPlayer because I drive for work and need Android Auto, considering it's illegal to mess with my phone while driving.

Sorry about the poor support experience. Bugs happen, but shouldn't affect your ability to interact with us. Re. the log you sent: we often ask users reporting an issue to describe it in detail and provide a log ID so that we can match the two together. This should be fixed in the next build 1078 (available soon).
