As of October 12th 2022, you are not able to create new photo sharing events because The Guest app will be retiring. You can upload photos from pre-existing and past events until December 31, 2023. The app will not be available after December 31, 2023. Users with existing photos uploaded will receive instructions on how to download them.

Getting married? Throwing a big event? Automatically get all of the photos and videos guests take at your wedding, reception or celebration with The Guest by The Knot! No uploading, no tagging, no separate camera apps. With The Guest (formerly known as Veri), all guests need is their normal Android camera to join in on the photo-sharing fun.

Simply create an event, invite guests via phone number or email address, and The Guest does the rest— for free! As soon as an event begins, The Guest will start sharing photos and videos guests are taking with their Android cameras in real time as they take them.

Highly Recommend! Used this app for 2 different birthday events and it is fantastic. There are some things that could be better, but nevertheless the overall concept and usability makes it easy for everyone to take pics and share as the event takes place. Things that could be improved on: 1. Not all guests were able to use it right away because the verification text did not come through. Maybe they needed to set it up ahead of time. 2. Being able to save all pics to a cloud service directly.

It does exactly what it says. All the Photos from our wedding were shared, so now i can see the photos everyone took! the quality of the photos doesn't look full res, but it still is a great way for people to just automatically share all images from an event. Edit: I'm taking away one star. I found an issue where some images are given a date of November 1979 for some reason. This makes it difficult to download these pictures and sort through them.

The reason this only gets three stars from me, is that we happen to have our event while the app was changing names and being purchased by "The Knot." I think that made it somewhat more confusing for our guest. However, I think that was a one time issue and wouldn't happen for users going forward. The other reason is simply that I wish you could tie it in with a cloud storage service such as Google or Dropbox. That way, each time photos were added, it would automatically move them over to your cloud storage and thus your synced devices. Would be fairly simple with their APIs. I hope they continue to improve this app idea. However, that would not prevent me from using the app. If I were having another wedding, I would absolutely recommend this app.
