An ok app for finding tours, but there are two glaring issues; you don't always stay logged in after exciting the app (sometimes you do, sometimes you don't, not sure what triggers it) and your tour vouchers aren't stored locally, which will obviously cause problems when you're in another country and there's no internet access. I'm hoping to see these basic features added in the future
Never ever again will l use viator. I have been waiting for a month for my refund. emailed to see what is happening only to be to again to wait 7-10 days..not good service at all
The app it designed primarily to sell tours. That's okay and the app does a decent job there. The problem is the app isn't very useful on the road where internet service is spotty or non-existent (or on a plane). This is because the bookings and itineraries are not stored within the app on your device but on the cloud. This seems to be such an obvious and easy thing to do so I am puzzled by this omission.
Stupid stupid stupid! I booked while I was logged out to a 200 dollars tour. Now I wanted to cancel it and I just can't do it. They say I have to cancel it through my bookings but it's not being added there whatever I try to do!!!
This app has potential to be much better than it currently is. I recently booked a last minute trip whilst travelling, however was very nearly declined entry to the tour as the app had not locally downloaded the e-voucher to my phone. I had no access to the data through Wi-Fi or a phone network so was unable to provide proof of purchase and the confirmation email doesn't provide the voucher barcode either. A slight oversight in my opinion and one that should be addressed.
the Viator vouchers system is great. I used it to plan lots of useful activities on both travel locations and in my hometown. the only flaw I can't figure out about is why the apps doesn't store my credentials. asking to log in any time I start the app (even if I just put it on the background) is annoying and frustrating. why does the app ask about phone permissions then in the first place? Furthermore, why couldn't the app store the vaucher code locally on the phone? it's dangerous or sometimes impossible to keep the phone always under an Internet connection when you are travelling abroad.
Thanks for using Viator! Please update the app for an improved map experience and bug fixes.
