About this game

MChess is a chess strategy game with classic play, custom armies, online matches, and local network games.

Play standard chess against the built-in engine, compete on the same device, or build your own starting position in Custom Setup. In custom setup games, each side creates an army with a fixed 39-point budget, while kings stay on their classic squares and the position is validated before the match begins.

The expanded game introduces powerful compound pieces:
• Maharajah: queen + knight
• Archbishop: bishop + knight
• Chancellor: rook + knight

For separate-device play, MChess supports both local network and online matches. On the same Wi-Fi, one player hosts and the other joins, while hidden setup lets both players prepare armies without revealing them too early. Online Play lets one player create a private room, share a short room code, and invite a friend to join over the internet. Both players build their armies in private, lock in, and reveal the full board when the match begins.

Interactive onboarding explains the modes, piece movement, setup rules, online flow, and LAN flow through live diagrams instead of static instructions.

What’s new

This build adds 7 new languages on top of English. Maharajah is now available in:

Where to switch: Settings → Options → Language. By default the app follows your device language ("System default"), so if your phone is set to one of the new languages you should see it right after launch — no action needed.
