Undoubtedly addictive, as there are endless options, regardless of style, size, color, genre, etc. The sellers that I have spoken/dealt with, and purchased from, have been here and there.. the majority of them were excellent in terms of keeping complete communication, offering deals, being very helpful and friendly.. and then there were a couple who failed to reply 98% of the time, and they took months to ship just 2-3 items, etc. Great concept for the most part! Keep improving!
Vinted used to be my favorite selling site, I've been on for years. But the past year has been awful. Sales are slow, they change shipping prices without telling us, they want you to PAY to get your stuff "noticed", which doesn't work. Their customer support is awful. Good luck getting anyone to contact you back, and if they do? They don't even answer your question. Some are completely illegible when they write back. There are also listings of items that aren't allowed or have pictures that we can't have (stock photos), and they never take them down if you report them. We ask for certain changes, they must look at them, ignore them, and do the opposite of what we ask. The only people who make sales on here are new people who get their items featured, which Vinted stops doing after a while when newer people come along. I used to love Vinted and rave about it, but I rarely make sales anymore. I do much better on Poshmark, where they seem to listen to us and allow us to give our items visibility.
The forum is filled with the most obnoxious stuck up ladies ever. It's nothing but constant drama. The ladies will report you for EVERY little offense. Which vinted has plenty that are stupid. MENTIONING ANY other resale site gets your stuff deleted in the forum. Even if asking a question. If you clothes with ANY stock photos for a better representation of the item it automatically gets hidden. Poshmark, Mercari, offer up, listia and let go are 100x better with half the hassle.
This app was great before they made buyers pay a FEE. Now I can't sell clothing like I used to. I switched to Poshmark and am SOOOO much happier. The community is much more active and everyone is friends with everyone. The women on this site just talk about pointless discussions and it is VERY clique like. On top of that, most of the accounts are bad photos with bad lighting and look like trash.
The past few times I've purchased items and when the seller ships the item out via USPS, USPS is NOT scanning the package and Vinted does not notify or update the tracking info, so I've had 2 packages that went missing in transit. Where is the accountability on Vinted side or do you just care about making that money?
I love to use this app to sell my items and to purchase new additions for my closet. The only thing that I don't really like about this app is that I feel like the shipping cost can be too much depending on the size of your item.
We’ve been working to fix what needed fixing. This update: less bugs + faster app. Treat yourself to it!
