Connect and manage your WiFi with the Virgin Media Connect App

The Virgin Media Connect app is the master control unit that helps you manage every aspect of your WiFi. Get your Virgin Media broadband up and running and allows you to run a WiFi home scan to smooth out any snags. Plus, if you ever need us, we’re on live chat from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.

The app’s available to anyone with a Hub 3 or 4. Got a Hub 5? Exciting things are coming soon – stay tuned for our latest update.

With the Connect app, you can:

Get your broadband up and running

Our handy step-by-step guides will help you install new Hubs, and Virgin TV boxes.

Run a WiFi home scan

Let the app guide you around your home, room by room, to check WiFi performance in each one. Just connect to the Hub, tap ‘Start the scan’ and off you go!

Pause WiFi to your devices

See all your connected devices and pause WiFi to individual ones whenever you like – perfect for when it’s the kids’ bedtime.

What you need:

A device running Android 6 or above

AND

Virgin Mobile customers with a valid Virgin Mobile SIM in their device.

Terrible, never seems to work! Can't connect to my network most if the time, always slow to do anything, and if it does eventually connect, it ends up disconnecting about 2 minutes later, the hotspots set up is awful and it won't even let me set it up, just keeps saying error. All in all, awful app atm, it's a great concept but terrible execution.

Hi Lee, in order for it to work you need to ensure you're loading the app when connected to your home WiFi. It won't connect if you're on mobile data or a different WiFi network. Please note the only hotspots available now are the ones named "Virgin Media". Please try connecting to one of these hotspots and let us know how you get on.

App is now useless. Apparently, I'm not connected to my Hub, despite the fact that I'm just a few feet away in the same room and am using its WiFi connection. The mobile section can't seem to identify my Virgin Mobile sim. These features used to work fine until March 2022, after which it went from bad to worse. The hotspots feature has never worked for me. Essentially, none of the 3 features that you would download this app for actually work. Virgin, it's time you got your act together.

Hi Michael, in order for it to work you need to ensure you're loading the app when connected to your home WiFi. It won't connect if you're on mobile data or another WiFi network. The only hotspots available now are the ones named "Virgin Media". With the mobile SIM login, this is a limitation that we will fix in a future release.

Ok when it's working but when it goes down, which it does occasionally, deleting and reloading is a nightmare. It requires any boosters to be relinked and all connected devices to be identified in order to properly label and manage them - at least half a day's work in my experience. 21 July and more problems. App can't see hub most of the time. When it does the hub seems to have lost the boosters, although at least one of the boosters seems to be working, supplying a link to the second TV box.
