Awful. I thought the Sky Q app was clumsy but this is really awful. And at least Sky looks like it's improving. Logging in takes an age. No option to download to external storage - sd card just like Amazon Prime and even Netflix. Connecting the app to my Tivo box has never worked. Though I can see the box connecting for streaming from my local box fails every time and the error support is utterly idiotic as well as unhelpful. Nice for setting recordings but not much else.
March 16, 2017We have now fixed the login issue. Apologies for the inconvenience. The rights from our content providers prevent the download of their content to external devices. Is your superhub and TiVo box connected together via powerline or an ethernet cable?
The app works fine until I try to register a device. I've tried to register my Samsung J5, a Note 4 and a Kindle Fire HD. It won't accept any of them. Great if you lose your remote all the time but not much use otherwise. Just bought a new tablet for Xmas. The updated app will not let me watch shows I've recorded on the TiVo box. Bloody useless
After having issues with this upgrade can now get in but it takes two goes. At present I open up the app it says connecting but does not connect, I close it down and re-open and connects ok. Use the app all the time, I find it easier to organise all my recordings and it's great for watching shows that have recorded. Downloading takes too long.
As an independent remote control and as a TIVO viewer it's great #edit- newer versions remote control is is A WE FULL, a step back to the stone see! # Some live channels will NEVER play over network on the device, but will on TV. Some devices are more restricted than others. Similar for recordings playback. No access to the "recently deleted" folder ; ( so if you accidentally delete a recording remotely, you cannot undelete it.
Just updated this app (because I had to) and now it doesn't work. When I want to watch something the only option is to watch on TV which is a bit useless for an app supposidly being able to use away from home on tabs or smart phones. Now I can't watch anything away from home. Fantastic....not ! UPDATE...... Beacause I was redirected to this app as an upgrade of TV Anywhere and not Realizing there was another TVGO app. Now I use TVGO to watch away from home and Control to control the TIVO box to record etc even away from home. Well done Virgin. Thanks for explaining although is would have been simpler to be redirected to both apps.
Downloaded new app. Again can't find my TiVo box on the network. The ONLY network I have. Can show me what's on my box I.e my shows, but can't find my box. Bizarre. The same network used for my Wi-Fi which is enabling me to log this review and download the app in the first place. But want me to phone to speak to someone. Can't online help just give instructions to follow and check.
Used to work fine before changing to TV Control. Will not open and connect over wifi on my over 4g then once working you have to turn wifi on again and reconnect to Tivo box. Needs a reprogram with an update asap. Old TV Anywhere App was identical to this so how had out gone so wrong?
