You've had this app for quite a while now...so can be considered 'established'... so WHY are we STILL unable to stream via 4G???? Your Main and Largest competitor "Sky" has Always had the capability to use 4G on their Sky go app.. they are your competitors!!! Whom you SHOULD be 'COMPETING' against... Not only are you NOT Competing against them you are letting your customers down!! Have come to the realisation you Actually Don't care!! Are Sky REALLY that much more better than You!??!
After having issues with this upgrade can now get in but it takes two goes. At present I open up the app it says connecting but does not connect, I close it down and re-open and connects ok. Use the app all the time, I find it easier to organise all my recordings and it's great for watching shows that have recorded. Downloading takes too long.
Downloaded new app. Again can't find my TiVo box on the network. The ONLY network I have. Can show me what's on my box I.e my shows, but can't find my box. Bizarre. The same network used for my Wi-Fi which is enabling me to log this review and download the app in the first place. But want me to phone to speak to someone. Can't online help just give instructions to follow and check.
New Update. Told us to download this app. Doesn't work. Have the spinning wheel of death trying to connect. Why disable a perfectly working app for one that hasn't been tested. Very frustrating. Update 1 - 3 days and still doesn't open. I would write a review but it won't open using wifi or 4g connection. It may be a new app and have some teething problems but really should at least open. 🤔🤔
***update *** can't find my Tivo box on the network after update. Able to sign in now. However app sometimes stops streaming and have to stop it, then restart app again. Frustrating especially at a critical moment in program or film. Used on Samsung galaxy note pro 12.2"
Virgin TV Control App has stopped working, restart app, close app. This is the message I keep getting on my Android phone, if Virgin Media are reading this feedback and all the others who are having the same problem opening this app, then Virgin Media sort it out for your customers, the old app worked well, and we only had to download 1 app, now we have to download 2 apps and only one of them works. 1Star rating for this app. If I could give you a 0 I would.
Was fine until a few days ago now it just says it's connecting for ever but doesn't connect. Tried reinstalling. Giving up now! Installed new updated version but same problem. Just keeps saying it's connecting but never does. Virgin need to sort this out! Had the new version since it was released. Connected to TV twice but now just keeps trying to connect but not succeeding. Rubbish - not bothering with this any more
