Doesn't work! What a waste of time downloaded a couple of times now and it still won't let me log in, shame as a frequent traveller on the east coast mainline this would have made it easer to buy tickets and complement the V trains e-wallet. Time to delete and use the old fashioned way with time/money wasted! :@
Works now but interface looks crappy iPhone application worked fine, but this Android version kept crashing after I tried to enter the train station. They now fixed the issue but the layout isn't optimised for larger screens like 5.5'' What a big disappointment. Pls can Virgin Trains get it right?
Not quite as good as First Transpennine app The two apps work almost identically, with pretty much the same interface, but the First Transpennine app scores over the Virgin app by allowing you to store your loyalty card number so you don't have to re-input at point of payment every time. Both apps allow you to book tickets on any train network.
NOT for VIRGIN EAST COAST users This app is not going to let you login if your account is with Virgin Trains East Coast. Not the same thing as Virgin Trains (at the moment). They still have different websites. Different accounts. This app is for Virgin Trains. Probably explains why the east coast main line still has grubby 1st class with no proper catering.. it's not really a Virgin service at all. (Of course if you want to use this app, go sign up with Virgin Trains..)
Useless Doesn't recognize either my login details or password despite it working fine on a PC. Disappointed.
The Best Easily the best rail app available. Don't waste time with anything else. It's not just for Virgin trains, whole network covered. The new clock interface for selecting time is a bit clunky and unnecessary, was fine as it was.
Various minor improvements and optimisations
