App installation issue It's mandatory to pause Lux Auto Brightness whenever I am installing apps from sources other than Play Store or else the 'Install' option freezes and hence, it's a ★ ★ ★ from me until this issue is fixed. However, I must agree that I adore the option that allows me to set the minimum screen brightness and I also appreciate the option to reduce the screen brightness manually beyond default android zero level and even up to -100% which makes reading in a dark room really easy on the eyes.
Fixed Nexus 6 high brightness My Nexus 6 brightness at its lowest setting was too bright, this app allowed me to reduce brightness into the negative space and now at night it's not blinding. My only gripe is I wish that the notification bar was a notification icon for Android 7, tap that to open the app and adjust from there to keep my task bar clean.
Perfect Thanks, my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 brightness adjustment doesn't work and I curse it a night. I just installed this and it did the trick. I'll post back if anything goes wrong. So far very nice, should have installed this long ago. March 7 2016. Update; It's 3am and I'm really appreciating this new app
Essential app! The default brightness manager on stock android is rather poor. On my Moto X 2nd Gen, the minimum setting would kill my eyes at night. Lux gives you much more options to closely control the brightness of your device. Unfortunately, the app used quite a lot of ram. Also, there is a bug on Marshmallow with the new permissions system (screen overlay).
Makes such a difference! I've been using this app for less than 24 hours now, and already I don't know how I ever got along without it! Setup doesn't take long at all, and "teaching" the app your preferred brightness settings along the way is easy and quick. I wish I had found this app ages ago!
Any suggestions? So honestly this app is wonderful and I love it. But as an android user, I keep running into overlay problems with Lux. I gave Lux the overlay permission, which is fine by me. But whenever I install a new app that asks permission for various things, I always end up uninstalling Lux, giving the other app it's permissions, and reinstalling Lux. It is really not a big deal, but considering I have done this possibly 20 times already I would appreciate any feedback or help!
- Many fixes, including sleep list not working on Android 5.0 and up
- Rename 'Auto' to 'Smart'
- Updated translations
- If using plug-ins, please check that Lux has been granted root access
