The Vivint app brings home to the palm of your hand. Whether you’re on the go or at home, controlling your smart security system has never felt so easy. The Vivint app allows you to:

Arm or disarm your security system
Control your whole system anytime, anywhere with the touch of a button. Including arming and disarming your system and setting up custom actions to automate your smart home.

View live camera feeds and recordings
Keep your home safer with cameras and security that work together. Check on what's happening around your home day and night, and rewatch important events with 30-day DVR recording and Smart Clips. 

Receive alerts and notifications
Know if one of your cameras has deterred a lurker, your garage door was left open, a package has been delivered, and so much more.

Answer your doorbell
See and speak with visitors through your doorbell from anywhere with 2-way talk and clear 180x180 HD video.

Control lights
Create custom schedules for your lights and easily turn them on and off from anywhere.

Lock and unlock doors
Know your home is secure by checking the status of your smart locks and easily lock or unlock your doors with a swipe.

Open and Close your garage door
Check to see if the garage door is open through the status indicator on the app and be alerted right away if you happen to leave it open.

Ratings and reviews

The app is always buffering. There's a delay in loading the live feed when you get a notification of someone in the driveway or at your door. Half the time, the person is gone by the time it loads. Playback from the live feed no longer has audio on any of our 3 cameras. No one has been able to fix this! They make you buy a protection plan to have someone come to your house to fix issues with their equipment! Update, they state its rare to have a delay, but if you read other reviews, it's not.

The app just recently started messing with my audio to the point where the only fix is to restart my phone. It causes all media to play as if it were a phone call and it's incredibly frustrating. Edit: app is co.plete garbage. Only triggers an alert if it recognizes a person and then half the time if is able to recognize someone it'll leave you with a video that you can't watch because it's corrupted. Biggest waste of money I've ever had. STAY AWAY FROM VIVINT

The whole system is garbage honestly; I'm having Vivint removed from my house entirely. As for the app? This app is TERRIBLE. It works randomly, never consistently. Sometimes I can use my cameras and door but usually I'm staring at my phone swearing because it tells me there's no system to connect to - or it just won't load at all. Random alarms go off. The only one of my lights connected to it keeps freezing and I can't manually turn it off. It's all been reset repeatedly. Will NEVER recommend.
