The app was never able to connect to VLC on my PC. Prompts and instructions in the "wizard" interface are confusing, and clicking Help linked to random support discussion threads unrelated to the issue I was having. This app is non-functional junk (although I did get giant pop-up ad within seconds; that part seems to work quite well).
Sorta confusing figuring out that playing the video was internal to the app, and make sure to select your desired device to stream to if streaming from PC, in the top left. Quality could be better but fits my needs perfectly. 4.5/5
Set up PC VLC and was able to use it from phone browser. But this app was unable to do it - which is THE ONLY thing it was designed for. It kept crashing and hanging
Awesome App - works flawlessly on my system and android devices. Would like to make a request to have option to fast forward/rewind in 10 sec increments.
As soon as I installed there was pop up that my phone is in danger. Really? That kind of adds?
This app would be amazing! but.... Internal player change video aspect ratio- I tried all available options nothing make it normal, screen is squashed horizontally... unusable. External player (VLC and android default) keep normal aspect ratio but I can`t use "seek"- pretty annoying cause if I go to other app and then come back to vlc it crash- black screen and I have to kill it. Also if I play movie and want to change options in the middle of video how do I go back to watching?? I see the "progress bar" under folders menu but no way to get back (??) I have to play from the beggining, also mkv format seems to kill vlc on pc if I use internal player. I really would be happy if it just work properly cause it`s something what I was looking for. EDIT: Apparently not all mkv files make vlc to close also some movies runs fine in internal player with correct aspect ratio.
