Voice Online Lab performs a biomechanical analysis of the vocal cords from a voice sample. It is based on an own and innovative methodology, which has nothing to do with traditional acoustic analysis or with those systems that perform some inverse filtering of the sound wave to work with the glottic source. A novel and precise voice analysis for the description of vocal cord dynamics.
By means of the Wave Tracking method we work directly with the final signal radiated at the level of the lips, and from it a procedure is applied to estimate some parameters that allow to establish some correlates on the biomechanics of the vocal folds. Singular segments and points of the voice signal are analyzed to provide highly relevant information for the study of the dynamics of vocal folds during their vibration.
A set of new biomechanical parameters allow us to describe the fundamental features of glottic dynamics during phonation: mucosal wave, tension, mass effect, gap, etc.
It is a tool for Health Professionals (ENTs, Phoniatrists, Speech Therapists and Primary Care Physicians) that collects information through different types of reports to adapt to the needs of each professional: Report-1 (Screening Test), Report- 2 (Rapid test of alterations), R-3 (Complete report of biomechanical imbalance).
