About this app

Eva (Exceptional Voice App) is a voice-training mobile app for transgender people. Eva provides a complete training program using the Exceptional Voice Method for both trans feminine and trans masculine speakers.

Eva consists of special learning objectives and training elements in unique video-based instruction and practice routines, as well as specific self-guided exercises. Eva's methodology guides users through a series of lessons and courses. Eva's real-time voice analysis tools provide instant feedback so you immediately know if you're on- or off-target for the voice training elements.

EvaF, for trans feminine speakers, also consists of uniquely designed training tools (pitch tuner, pitch tracker, sound pressure level meter, metronome, and voice recorder) that provide users with specific feedback. Eva's Resonance Analyzer, a never-seen-before unique transgender resonance training tool, is currently in development. You will be notified through the app once it is complete.

EvaF provides three courses (when complete) to address the training needs of beginners, and intermediate and advanced users.

Voice Feminization Fundamentals (20 lessons) provides trans feminine speakers who are beginning their voice transformation with all the exercises and techniques they need in order create a natural feminine voice.

Beyond the Fundamentals (10 lessons, when complete) will provide intermediate level voice-training exercises and techniques for trans feminine speakers who have found their feminine voice and are ready to take their voice to the next level.

Mastery of Your Feminine Voice (10 lessons, when complete) is the advanced and final course in the Exceptional Voice Method voice feminization program. This course is for trans feminine speakers who are relatively happy with, and feel skillfu,l about their voice, but want high-level, executive voice training techniques and strategies in order to find power and confidence in their business and professional lives.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This Android build is compatible for most common Android devices, (Samsung Galaxy series, Xiaomi series, LG, and Huawei series). The high degree of device fragmentation, owing to the large number of brands and models now available, is compounded by the fact that many brands use their own modified version(s) of Android. The open source functionality of the Android platform means that Eva may not be compatible with your device. If this is the case, please promptly request a refund from Google. If you wait too long, you may lose the option for a refund.

If you purchased Eva 1.0 on your Android device in 2013 or 2014, those apps are no longer available. Please contact us.

Trans Masculine Speakers
EvaM, our trans masculine voice-training program, currently has five lessons available for your use. When complete, the trans masculine program will have one course of ten lessons.

Well, when I first got the program the app was fabulously designed and ran really well. I've had a lot of success with the courses themselves as well. Unfortunately, the state of this app is in a really bad place. It hasn't been updated for more recent phones - and there's all sorts of voice tracking issues that have only appeared since I upgraded my phone. I've had about 2 and a half years with this program now, and my progress has been really good. I just wish they would update!!

Don't even bother installing the free version. You can get everything the free version gives you, and much much more by installing "pitch" and looking up "the voice stylist" on YouTube for how to use it. I haven't bought any of these courses, but I wouldn't bother. Anyone who makes a scammy looking app like this is not going to produce quality courses.

Neat features, recognition can be a little shaky, even in the quiet. What bothers me is the price, 70 quid for 20 odd lessons is not a deal when you can torrent things with a (year subscription of) VPN of your choice. If the app was more approachable to those on lower incomes I'd consider buying.
