I seem to be having a glitch. I just upgraded to the VSCO X and have manually sorted all the new film looks that came with the upgrade to the top of my preset list. But every time I go back into the app they have moved and are scattered around in the "analogue" presets. It's beyond annoying please fix!!
VSCO has always been my favourite photo editing app, but recent updates have caused glitches in Android and it's pretty frustrating, seeing as no editing features have actually changed that much. I also really wish that you would develop an Android version of DSCO, I've waited yearsss!!!!
Use to be my go to app for editing photos. However the recent update(s) have made the UI unbearable to use. As for the slider controls, they have such a long delay, when a change is made, where it used to be almost instant (Nexus 6P). Feel robbed, after having recently purchased all the filters.
So I can't use the app to edit because I need to grant permission for the position to use the camera. OK, fine. Then it says it detected a screen overlay and therefore I can't use the app unless I turn it off. It doesn't tell me which one, I'm supposed to turn off ALL of my other apps to be able to filter a picture? Get lost.
Finally they've ditched the awful "joystick" user interface so, for that reason alone, the latest update is a big improvement. However it's still unnecessarily complicated to navigate - a simple hamburger menu would make life a lot easier. UI complaints aside, this is still my go-to app for editing prior to uploading to Instagram etc.
But the most recent update has left me wondering if there is something better out there. It seems VSCO has decided investing any time into UI/UX development isn't worth their time. Their "innovative" new navigation method is horrendously annoying to use and shows they are more interested in gaining user data from their new social media presence than they are in creating a beautifully powerful photo editing process. VSCO, please get your game together, editing photos in your app used to be fun.
