It works well as a tracking device for my kids, so I appreciate that. Call quality is only ok, sometimes the phone speaker will have interference and my kids can't hear what it's being said. The one major flaw is that the app will NOT notify me of messages from my kids unless I have the app open. I have enabled all settings, I have checked and double checked. It can override DND, but nothing. So my kids send texts and I don't get them. It's a major flaw.

Hello Stephanie, calling is usually dependent on the LTE signal strength. Its possible call quality is being affected due to poor signal or on Occassion if the Gizmo speaker is damaged or faulty, it may cause sound issues. As for the notifications issue, this is not expected behavior, could you email us at gizmo@verizon.com so we can discuss? -DA

Generally good overall. However, I sometimes don't get push notifications on my Google Pixel when my son texts me, even if I have the app open. This is a scary to me. The developers really need a desktop version of the app that syncs to the mobile version. I am not able to stare at my phone when I'm at work. I would love to be able to send and receive messages, check location, etc on my computer. Having a desktop version would decrease my fears about not getting messages on my phone.

The app needs improvement. Location needs to be better. Most frustrating thing is the video calls do not notify by vibrating. So if your phone is set to "vibrate only" you will miss all video calls. Only way to be notified of a video call is to have your phone volume up and blasting. I checked all settings and it's not just my phone. Happens on my wife's phone too. Very frustrating to not be notified of our child calling us. Need this fixed ASAP. It does vibrate for all other notifications.
