AskACatholic.com . . . A faithful resource for confused Catholics and anyone seeking to learn the truth about the Church and Her Teachings.

We are a new breed of Catholic Christians who listen, clarify teachings, and correct misperceptions about the True Church Our Blessed Lord Jesus established on St. Peter and his successors in 33 A.D.: the Roman Catholic Church. Dialogue with us!

AskACatholic.com is a lay Catholic support group of Catholic Apologists, Priest-helpers, and Grammarians who work together to answer questions from anyone with a sincere heart about the Catholic Faith and what Catholics believe. We do the best we can to ensure all our answers are loyal to the Magisterium and Teaching Authority of the Roman Catholic Church founded by Jesus, Our Lord.

In addition we have a secondary goal of assisting and promoting the development of other lay Catholic apologetic support groups at the parish level. We have been doing this under the founding name of our web site: the Christifideles Pizza and Theology Society, (CPATS) since 1996. The ultimate purpose of an organization with such a funny name is simple:

The lay faithful of Christ meeting over pizza to:

-- talk about Church and other theological issues and
-- clear up any misperceptions we may have about Catholic teachings in a support group environment.

Despite very good CCD or religious education classes, the world will always have new questions that challenge and question what we believe as Catholics far beyond when we were initially catechized.
