I already had a walabot for a few years now. For the most part, it worked. About a week and a half ago , I purchase another one , DIY 2. Downloaded the software and it says installed. When I plugged it into my phone, it would not recognize the connection. When back to the old one and no problem. I reached out to walabot and they did acknowledged my email but heard nothing scince. I do not like complaining but if say you are to do something, just do it or do not respond back at all because your word is everything to me. AMERICA used to backup their and did need a gold star to do it.

Walabot DIY device seems to work pretty good, but nowhere near what is displayed on the television and internet ads. That is expected in today's world. Disappointing, but not a deal breaker. A more bothersome point is that since installing the Walabot app, spontaneous random commercials appear every time i unlock my phone. This is INTOLERABLE! Should I visit settings after every use of this product to get it closed? Or do I uninstall between uses? Neither is acceptable!

Previous versions of this app did not require all of the permissions and personal information the new version does, and there is no way to use it without creating an account now, so I am selling my Walabot. The marketing lingo they try to use to justify it doesn't pass muster with me. Does it work fine with the companion Walabot product? Yes, just like their videos. It is frustrating to have to calibrate it 2-3 times during each use session, and anyone with any sense of perfection in their work will still use a more precise stud finder even after getting a good idea of what is in the wall after a Walabot scan anyway.
