Wow! Never been to Ireland but seriously considering moving there now😄 Great design and initiative!
Excellent in presentation, battery use no longer a problem EDIT FOR UPDATED VERSION: Battery problem of previous version now fixed (thanks Aaron.) Used it over the w/e & all now as good as it gets for an app of this type. Recommended! INITIAL REVIEW: Extremely good in helping to find walks and providing suitable info to help make an informed choice. Unfortunately, even when the app is "closed", the background process+service consumes an unacceptable amount of battery power... almost as much as the Android OS itself (mine is 4.1.2 on Samsung S2).
Nothing in Offaly. The canal could be mentioned. Checked laoise. Only one mentioned. Why isn't the slieve blooms mentioned? Could have more content but its a good app from what I can see. Just needs more content. Don't listen to the people who are used to Google and other huge company made apps criticising uselessly.
Good but needs more features Here's my wish list: 1 - Being able to login to your account / 2 - Show trails by proximity in relation to where you are / 3 - Order Trails by size / rating / etc / 4 - Filters: seaside / urban / park / mountain walk / etc It's a handy app though I much prefer the website.
Makes me want to explore Ireland Fantastic layout. Worth considering as a feature how to get us the users to also add the content i.e walk details to the app. Think of the trip advisor model of the users driving the data.
Love It! Great! And 100% Irish! Great app for walkers, ramblers and mountaineers. I will be doing my best to keep updating with beautiful walks from my local area and beyond.
Poor Insufficient content. Some rubbish items create clutter. Co Louth badly represented
- Dramatically reduced battery consumption
- Streamlined backed services for faster, quicker performance
