I tried a few others and they were unusable for one reason or another one. This one works consistently, at least so far, doesn't use up a lot of battery, and tells me what i need to know. Simple and effective! 5/5/17 update and question for the owners; the appv didn't count my steps a few days this week and i think the data and wifi probably were both off at those times. It used to work without data or wefi. Has this chsnged? If not, what could have made the app not operate properly?
Takes patience to calibrate. Don't waste money on the Fitbit. Once I got it calibrated correctly, it is very accurate. You start walking it takes a second or two & start up, but it accounts for the steps taken while it was starting. Only downfall is that I have to remember to carry my phone, which I don't usually do. :p Much happier with this than the Fitbit. Spent the crazy money for it, both of the 2 cent bands that came with it fell apart in less than 6 months. Thus causing irreparable damage to the device after the second band broke. UPDATE: 4* to 5* this works!
The app Works very nice. However I would like to draw the attention of develop to one mistake. In settings when I want to set up my target of calories I can do it by chosing say 2500 (which is mormal for human) calories. However, in the daily log that 2500 calories will appear as 2500 kcals, which in fact, means 25000 calories. This is a serious error and must be corrected in the coming update.
Inaccurate All set up correctly (even measured my footstep distance for one step), however 50 correct steps in, this app only measured them as 34 steps. Not sure why the difference? Also, before I'd even started moving, the app said I'd already done 820 steps... I'd literally just installed it! The interface is bad also, very basic and not visually appealing. Very buggy. I'm using Android on. HTC One M8 fully updated.
Works well! I have been using this app for a few weeks now, and find it to be closest in accuracy to my other pedometer. I don't get stair climbing info, but it may be that my phone doesn't work with this part of the app. The only con is occasionally it doesn't start counting steps right after I turn my phone on, but works again after restarting the phone.
Fine for what it is This app is fine for just logging the steps you take when you happen to be carrying your phone. I wish it allowed me to log other activities, such as dance class, where I don't carry my phone. I hate having to use multiple apps to track things.
Fixed a bug that caused the log book to show incorrect dates
