Very simple, straightforward app. Easy to scroll sections, save stories (I especially save recipes), and to share or gift current news. My only annoyance is that when I run across WaPo articles in other places (on FB, or Google News for example), I'm not automatically logged in to read them. Very frustrating to have to pull down settings, find username and password, and (often) verify. Seems like it wouldn't be too much to ask to have WaPo links automatically open in the app.

The new app is easier to navigate than the old. But having inline ads for a product I've paid for is pretty obxious, but I'm furious that I have to watch a video ad (the same one, incidentally, about 20 times now) to start any crossword, and again If I logout, such as when I change the orientation of the screen. That is some serious gifting, forcing subscribed readers to watch adds for the one part of the publication that let's us escape politics and bad news. Making me reconsider the NYT.

It is still impossible to scroll the comics. Going from landscape to portrait returns you to the last strip so oriented. I subscribe to other reputable news sources but liked the relaxing perspectives via some insightful comics. However I feel disrespected having to deal with the clumsy modified interface problems mentioned over 4 months ago. So, I will not be renewing.
