About this app

To promote the use of water bottles that can be refilled in a sustainable way, the NGO European Water Project has created Water-Map. This App is a collaborative project developed in partnership with OpenStreetMap.

Over 280 000 drinkable water points can be found worldwide on the app. With Water-Map, you can find a place to refill your water bottle anywhere for free. Together, let’s refill, reuse and reduce single-use plastic!

Ratings and reviews

Helpful build on OpenStreetMap, but lacks one key default. It should not start centered on a hard coded coordinate, but instead allow use of the user's current approximate location. It is a barrier and inconvenience to have to manually move to a local.

Works so far, mostly useful for big cities, they have more data I suppose. Pretty useful, not sure why it starts on Paris every time tho, would be good to center on you automatically.

No offline mode, whats the point of water map when you cant use it outside mobile signal. When i have wifi signal you can be damn sure i dont need any water maps.

Add additional languages for apple store description and sub title to match app languages: FR, EN, IT, SP, DE
Make app default language that of the user's phone.
