The new version uses a lot of battery (15% battery for 45 min work out, old version was 5% for same workout) and also the green text was clearer than the white you have replaced it with. Otherwise all good. Connects to the bike more reliably.
Enjoy the app a lot. However, the previous layout was better where the whole screen was your progress. Now it's all pushed into one window. The stars were better just above the progress Barr. It was easier to see where you are. Also, why get rid of the green zone? It was easier to see than the white. If you want to improve the app, take it back to the old layout and rather add more single workouts.
There's no point pretending this is a good app. The readouts are impressive and the programs look good, if that's your thing. I prefer to do sessions of fixed duration and with the exception of 20 mins, incredibly, you can't set it up. You can use "just ride" but have to stop it yourself. Unlike the Concept 2 rower app, however, you can't simply set it up to record the session you enter into the WattBike and let it give you extra stats, with the app starting when you start your session. Very disappointing.
The best fitness app I have! Get your profile set up and regularly re-test and it grows with your benefits. From a non cyclist to Ironman in less than a year I'm really pleased
The update has made the data difficult to see on a mobile phone. There was nothing wrong with the previous versions set up. Disappointed 😞
The redesign is awful. You have taken away the simple view to track heart rate/power/cadence. Good luck doing this in a hard session with the overly busy views that are now there.
- Updated design
- Redesigned ride screens
- Colour coded workouts
- Increased emphasis on polar view
- Power, HR and Cadence (live, average and peak) on every screen
- Power/kg and Speed values available by clicking the Power and Cadence values
