Was GREAT until recently Was a perfect app until the last few weeks. The app has started to give me issues. During a drive it will not only stop navigating without warning (i.e. "turn left in 3 miles" but it never actually changes so you miss the turn) it will also not load maps. I find that this happens most often when leaving a highway on to rural roads. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and it doesn't help. I tried to find a way to send feedback via the app but couldn't find a place so I am posting here. Help!
Great GPS The gps is extremely accurate with virtually no lag. However, if you are navigating, this comes at the cost of your battery and cpu. It will normally select the fastest route, but you can compare to alt routes in case you want to override. It will also reroute if you hit traffic and it is wise to listen! I have noticed this new version doesn't show as many alt routes off the freeway when I am stuck in medium traffic and want to circumvent a slow down. Please bring this back!
Best GSP for Traffic Best app to drive on short or long, cross-country trips. This app as live traffic monitoring by actual feedback from people on the road in real time. It has saved me hours by telling me to get in the right lane and exit because the interstate had closed a few miles ahead when someone hit a bridge overpass. Rerouted me around the closure and put me back on the interstate after the closure. No time delay! Best app ever!! I use it every day.
Newer improvements = Getting better Recommend making freeways that become less lanes permanent Hazzard on map in those locations. Street names should follow orientation of actual roads like normal maps =less confusing. When tagging police seen driving it could calculate their speed continuing path of movement for actual up to minute location expected. Add Hazard other side option.
Really come a long waze. 😆 Where are the voices with street names for Note 7? Most functional Waze yet! Navigation seems spot on and not obtrusive like Google's offering. Like the fresh look. Love the send ETA so people I choose can monitor my drive. Couple of things...1. Could use lane assist. 2. App is slow to load up. It will start fine, but apparently, it is looking for Wazers in the area and take about 10 seconds or more to fully load and allow for any interaction to start navigation. Fix these two items and near perfect!
I've been using Waze more or less since it came out and have been an Area Manager for my area for the past few years also. Waze is an excellent app and I always switch it on even if I'm only taking a 5 minute trip to make sure I'm always adding road data to help make the app better still. I've used Waze to navigate us on holiday where we've driven 1,500-2,000 miles in 7-10 days and never had any problem with navigation. Highly advise all road users to have Waze installed :-)
