Great app to replace my GPS, but I don't like that I select a route, then it changes it to a quicker route with a TOLL... Now I have to turn on the option "avoid toll routes" each time before I go somewhere and turn it off when I am willing to pay the high FL tolls. Not always fun when you are not sure where you are going and while you are driving... just a little frustrated with an app that changes my mind mid route

Much better than Google maps. Always gives me better and shorter routes than g-maps. However, sometimes there are no real time traffic updates from users. Like at 6.45am on a specific route I once took to work ( I'm in Johannesburg). The map showed no traffic but there was traffic. Get better ways to incentivise users to make real time updates . Also sometimes the app just doesn't work. It says "couldn't calculate route" . That's when I resort to Google maps. Fix your network issues please

Hands down THE BEST navigation application anyone can have the pleasure of using! Thank you for you Waze! Truly.... I've never been more satisfied with a phone application. Immensely helpful. Wish there was cooler icons available, but, I'm certain that'll be up soon! Always updating this beauty of an electronic love creation.

I've had issues using the Waze app recently, mainly with my rideshare driver apps. For the entire month of May I had to continually close and reopen the app between each pickup and dropoff, but I made it work. I would work on the accuracy of locations, and location information like correct gas prices. Hopefully the latest update corrected these issues. Overall this is a decent app... even fun to use!

Waze is absolutely the best and easiest gps app available! It even beats Google Map, Apple Maps, Bing all of them! I have been using Waze for 5 years and I've never been disappointed! I LOVE YOU WAZE!!! The only thing I would like to see changed is being able to use offline somehow, the locations could be entered and saved while online if you know you won't have access to WiFi on the road and then the routes could be downloaded and saved to phone and used on your trip. I don't know anything about programming but it seems like something that wouldn't be to hard to achieve, in theory anyways.

Poor at finding location. Keeps giving my wife's phone notification of my drives coming up even though I turned off my calendar on her Waze settings. Have to close and restart it several times before it zooms in on me (or toggle location on and off) Directions aren't accurate until it finds me. Also keeps asking to rate it so One star now. Overall I Liked the older versions better new one has ads that are too big and it's not as smooth or quick anymore. Doesn't give enough warning for turns. Needs a way to select voice timing. Early, moderate, late, something like that.

Gas prices fixed. I won't be making my own voices recording. WAZE should consider the possibility that an external gps receiver is being used when it starts instead of refusing to run when location is off. After WAZE loads location can be turned off with GPS data being supplied via Mock Location. Works good. But why go through the extra step.
Just want to give an opinion. Please update about new rule and condition in Jakarta. Right now we have regulation about vehicle registration number (odd & even). When we open the app, it will ask about our vehicle number (ex. B 1234 SJK or B 4567 SKA), so Waze can track our destination, where we can pass the area or can not. It will awesome if you can realize and create like that
Used this for over a year now. No need to replace my tomtom. UPDATE: love the new interface but sometimes it's not clear which side of the road has traffic jam. Fix this please. UPDATE 25/5/17 Looking for another similar app. Constantly crashing and non stop GPS issues. I've had enough. Also would like to be presented with shortest or fastest at start of each journey and not spend ages trying to find it in menu system 😞
It's a great service and all, but the app is constantly failling to keep up with the times, it's jus not acceptable. It's been a year since Android 7.0 split screen API was finalized, and it's still not working correctly! The app doesn't refresh when in split screen and out of focus. How is this possible in Google's own apps is beyond me.
After trying other well-known GPS apps🤳, I stuck with Waze! Waze offers accurate maps✔, reliable service✔, & it's user friendly with a plethora of additional settings✔! Best of all...the real-time GPS navigation with user inputs, tips and suggestions that make every trek quicker, safer and an easier ride🚘!
No longer shares my drives with friends online. Notifications arrive hours after I do. Sometimes issues stream of random commands for no apparent reason. Voice and finger-wave commands don't work, but activate when I move the charger cord. The only good parts are traffic reports.
Thanks to user input, this app has the most up-to-date free traffic and camera information. It seems to use very little data. Latest update has resolved the device's GPS issue. I can give full marks to this app again. The only constructive criticism is this app could be improved giving clearer graphics when exiting roundabouts, motorway junctions etc. As I have often have taken the wrong exit.
I wanted to check out what all the fuss was about. I am a google maps user but I was not always happy wirh the routes. Waze has provided at least two better routes since I started using it a week ago. It really saved me from being late to work with an alternate route I had never considered. Very helpful. Still need to check the other features out. Give it a shot. It took a few days but it really helped me the one time I really needed it.
Very good App! I have only two issues. 1: It keeps shutting down by itself when you are in the middle of a journey. 2. Sometimes, it struggles to find addresses. That said, it a great app, better than any I have used (even paid ones), has many handy features and gets you to your destination as quick as possible.
This is a good app for navigating traffic or taking long trips. My go-to app. for directions. Sometimes there are issues with loading. I would like to see total time to get somewhere when a stop is added. Also, I like the gas station additions but putting them ahead of the driver on course would be helpful, instead of based on relative distance.
Would rate higher, but the app has constant issues with updating your status so be prepared to be a "Baby Wazer" for a long time. Tech support just replies with "We are aware of the issue and our teams are working to resolve it". Well the issue has been present for 2 years or more! Which is why it gets only 3 stars. Navigationally the app works good. Love the traffic feature and that you can inform other wazers about road issues while driving. Great app if you could get on the ball and get this thing to update in a timely manner. So sick of being a Baby Knight Wazer, lol.
Good app. I only use it primarily for long trips and commutes each day. Long trip usually has better reporting of accidents, law enforcement and cars on shoulder. Awesome when traveling and you hit a back up due to accident. This allows a much better opportunity to detour on local streets and not loose time. Easy to use, but still requires you to look away or select item to report. VR would make this app 5 stars.
Addressing of others' nit-picking: 1) Quit whining about "vehicle stopped on road ahead" notifications! A vehicle parked in a shoulder CAN affect the traffic flow! And, yes, a vehicle might be gone by the time you reach the spot if it only pulled over for a minute or two. 2) If you don't find a business in the Waze database THERE IS A TAB to find it in the Google Maps database.
The "Download Map" feature found on Google Maps would be a great feature to have on Waze. It allows you to download the destination(s) you are traveling ahead of time. In case you encounter areas with no data, the data will be already on your phone so Waze won't freeze trying to fetch data from your cell phone network.
5/2017 +1 star for taking away forced high accuracy. We'll see if any other non published improvements made. How about a bug list so we know what you recognize and a change log so we can see what you think you fixed... still making amazing progress at getting more retarded with every update. Alternate routes often completely whack. That's talent. Now it wants wifi while I'm driving before I can open it. F you.
This app used the be the best. It now crashes all the time and continually tells me , "cannot find route". I don't know what update they may have done to this but it is practically unusable now. Unless a new patch comes out to update this I will no longer be using Waze.
Very frustrating. Several years ago it never gave me a "searching for GPS" message, but now get that frequently and I know that's not the case. Beef up your infrastructure to accommodate increased demand! Also, keeps dropping me and making me start completely over with a new handle. Annoying!
Well I have been through sevral updates and the application is getting worse. Down graded to 2 stares It still only does a mile 1000 feet and turn now. About 3/4 of the time it will not give you the 1000 feet. The application forgets the you may have to move over 4 plus lanes of traffic. About 1/2 the time it doesn't give the mile warning. I have missed moreturnes with this app than another GPS I have ever used. I have decreased the rating I only have a 2 stars.
It needs to stop asking for ratings after updates, ask for a rating and get 1 star. PROBLEMS 1. Wind? Ever try to drive down the road when there is a 40 mile an hour or higher crosswind? We need to have wind as a hazard on here under weather. 2. Police on the move? Now in the new version for we can't even report things on the other side of the road anymore. They'll be reported on the wrong side of the road instead. Way to listen to your beta testers. 6
I definitely like the real-time roadside/travel info but the travel maps and application of wayfinding need some work. It also will simply STOP working on long trips for no apparent reason and that can be a real problem. All in all, a solid app with a great future, keep improving!
I was loving it, especially for noting problems, even potholes. However it started telling me to turn onto a street after I was through the intersections. Then it started providing routes that were hours out of the way. At first I thought it was picking up on construction, accident or something similar, having me drive on busy side streets rather than expressways, for example. I'm hoping that that was short-lived glitch that was fixed. Giving it another try.
Best nav on the market WITH lots of room for improvement with other features. Search is still dismal. By category brings up few results. Tap your parent company please for POI. Again, navigation seems spot on and not obtrusive like Google's offering. Like the fresh look. Love the send ETA so people I choose can monitor my drive. WISH LIST..1. Could use lane assist. 2. Need to get links from Yelp, Google Now, and other websites to share the actual destination name of the business not unknown street address or just the address. 3. Heads up notification needed when in other apps and driving. 4. Point of destination...Use Google data and pics rather than user pics? 5. Organize favorites into categories!! It is just a long running list right now.
Better than Google maps because has smart zoom and better to use in the city with cramped streets so that you don't make the wrong turn. Maps is the best for most everything else though. And Waze is flawed in that it sends me on the lower level of GWB when upper has less traffic at times (Google maps doesn't have this issue).
Very practical. I love it & now City of Winnipeg is recommending all Drivers use this to speed up traffic because its interactive, immediate, sophisticated & free. Please ask City of Winnipeg to provide you with all 30kph elementary school 30klm speed zones locations. It will increase Waze use and save drivers huge fines. Keep up the excellent work. Recording own voice has no appeal to me, but recording my wife's voice of 43 years might be delightful! Suggest you promote that idea, "spouces voice" recording.
These past few months, it can't acquire GPS. Then I switch over to Google Maps and immediately the GPS is acquired and Google Maps gets right to work. It's really aggravating when I turn on Waze and it says no GPS, please go outside and I'm already outside in my car
any chance you can adjust the re-draw distance, navigating around the map to set a destination point is a pain unless I zoom in quite close. compare your map to Google's, empty space vs populated
Voice recording is nice but the recorded volume is way too low. You need a good compressor function (I bet you can find open sourced ones in just few clicks). Right now, my music is way louder than my voice guidance.
Used it on a trip of a few hundred miles. It was spot on on arrival times. The heads up on hazards and police was amazing. It directed me to take a route I never would taken before and it saved me quite a bit. I think it's better than the nav system in my vehicle.
WHY NO OTHER SIDE OF ROAD WARNINGS?!? It's been a year like this?! Get your act together Waze!! My passengers have to mark police on opposite side of road for warnings when there's a breakdown. At least you've not taken that option away yet... Very least, give us the real reason you won't sort it. This is annoying for us helping others!
Using the app in Armenia, when you are choosing direction the names of the streets are showing incorrectly. Tigtաн mեts str. (Tigran Mets str). Also it will be great if user will be able to correct the address by moving the pin(sometimes the address is not correct, or i don't know full address but i can find it on the map )
The app is mostly good....it gets a little hairy when living on a military installation. After a week at a new base, waze decided to take me a much different route....which took me to a wrong gate. If Waze had used the same route it had been the previous 5 days, there wouldn't have been an issue. Still enjoying the app none the less. Typically uses a much faster route than Google maps too.
Great app. But last update brought hang-ups. 1 - each time on app start. After pressing menu button to navigate you have to wait a few seconds the Waze loads your history. Some other app hangs noticed using different menus.
Is and was my go-to GPS app. All the new graphical changes are a bit shocking at first. Now that I am used to them, they are all improvements. Things that are important are larger and everything seems brighter. The new way the features are grouped will make more sense to a new user, and the icons seem more relevant to the functions they perform. New-new-new version and I still like the new changes.
I am new to Waze. So far so good. I like the clean look at the map. I like being able to see the police on my route and traffic. I don't have any suggestions yet but I'll definitely let you know if I run into something. Great app!
