Review from Desmond George Perera
Best Navigator on Android This is the best Navigator on Android that you can find in the App Store. Gives you live updates on traffic and the maps are just like the Navigators you can get from the shop. Definitely worth the download.
I have been using Waze for years now. From the early versions that were rough at the edges, thru today. Each version just keeps getting better and better. It is made by people who care about making everyone's driving experience better, and it shows. One of the best features is that a user can edit the map. For a while Waze was the only software that would navigate people correctly to my house because the housing development was new, but I was able to add the development to the map.
What do I love about WAZE, everything! First it cuts down a hour and half drive to about an hour in the morning which I used to take the 101 Frwy to the 405 Frwy to the 10 Frwy ( I now have alternative ROUTES), which is a great time saver. Also it helped me deliver a cake to a friend and still get to work, in a timely fashion I was only 5 minutes late!!!!!. Without out it I know I would have been at least 30 min or more. Last but not least, it is a super time saver and actually it helps everyone
Pretty good app. Used to have it on my old phone. The only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't add in a traffic alert (or whatever they are called) without being there. So for ex. There was roadwork that wasn't marked on there, but I'm not messing around with my phone while driving. It would have been nice to give me the option to set the location bc I waited till I could park which was far. Maybe add in voice settings so we could be like "hey Google" or "hey waze there is road work going on for the next couple blocks" or something..... basing this off of when I had it before. Hope it's changed for my new try at this.
I love waze, the navigation and warnings are amazing, and the social aspects are fun! It also has extremely up to date maps, and a whole community keeping them up to date. I ran into a one way that wasn't marked as such in the map and it was fixed within 12 hours! The one thing it needs though is auto shutdown. I drive with my phone plugged in, like many people, and having an option that shuts it down when I unplug my phone or turn my car off would be a nice feature.
Waze has become my most used app. It works very very well, has great features, is always up to date, and doesn't even use a lot of data. The only reason I took a star away is because of the thank you notifications. I don't want a notification every time I make a report telling me however many people thanked me, and I haven't found a way to disable just that notification. I finally had to block notifications from Waze altogether, which is a bummer because I miss things I actually care about. Edit: No more notifications going off for every thanked report! 5 stars it is!
When I travel I drive a 12 plus foot tall motorhome. In the past year I have been routed with no warning of low clearance overpasses that I would have hit had I not seen the low clearance signs in time!!! NOT GOOD!!! I still wish we could add School Zones to the program. They are just as important as Red Light Cameras! It would be very smart to have locations announced.
Thanks for using Waze, where millions of drivers beat traffic every day with real-time help from other drivers. We’re constantly improving the app for you, so don’t forget to update the latest version for all of the available features. Here's what's new this week:
