Review from Fakhrul Xro
Nice app.. Very nice and helpful apps.. however.. not find some rural road.. i will gve 5 star if it can.. and also save our route use.
I learned that if Waze takes me a different way than usual it is because there is a problem on the road. One problem. I can't go in to correct a mistake on the street where I live. Waze DOES NOT show the street or apartment. . . . . . . One BIG problem I have not solved. My apartment building, built a year ago, is still not on Waze. I can't seem to be able to change it. Any help would be appreciated.
Pro - Sharing system is really useful. Rerouting is fast and accurate. Reports by users 90% is accurate. Great design. Cons - In tunnel no navg like Google map. It just stuck there or jump to the end of the tunnel or some funny location. It doesn't show u the nest steps on the instructions panel (next turn is left or right). When keying in the search bar, the keypad will just disappeared.
Won't open when I'm talking on the phone already. Just gives a black screen. Reported a few times with no fix. But it keeps asking for a new rating while I'm driving. Update: it's been two months and this problem is still not resolved. Still just a black screen if I open the app while on the phone. Losing patience.
Alerts of traffic jams and other issues on the road is good. The app seems to have an issue recognizing the addresses from the events in Google calendar. It keeps asking me to set the address for the planned drives. Google map has no problem finding the same address from the same calendar event. This is frustrating. Another issue is battery consumption. It seems to be very hard on the battery. I'll use it for a short while when there are many turns to do then I'll turn it off. I'll start it up again periodically to see if there are any issues forecast ahead.
- still no way to set road report to other side of the road. - terrible reporting buttons interface. Way too many layers! Need one touch "favorites" and two touch "most used" - should record driving data when offline and then update account stats and map stats when back in range. I don't mind the ads, it's a free app and they only come up while stopped. For all the stupid things in this app, it is still necessary. If all it had was police reporting, that would be good enough for me
Normally a 5 star product. However, since I started using a Moto Z, I have had to regularly reboot to acquire GPS - in this app only. I do not have the issue with Google Maps, Sygic or other GPS tools. I can be using Google maps with no problem, switch to Waze, and get an error about not acquiring a GPS signal. Will go back to 5 stars when fixed. Note that this continues to be an issue several months later.
