Review from Nicolas Cole
Fun for Commuters I really love this app. Its a lot of fun. Better yet it allows me to have real time updates on more than just traffic. I k.ow where police sit, where road hazards are and whether traffic is crawling or at a standstill. I still wish it would let u customize routes or give more options. Also, if u take a shortcut it reroutes u back to the original route. Not helpful
Still missing a few fundamental things for Android Auto but is otherwise a great GPS app. (zoom/font issues, not using car gps/data, unable to navigate tunnels, no lane guidance, if you leave the map screen waze AA loses GPS position ) but it seems that the developers are listening so this might be a 5 star soon. Personally I'm also missing send E. T. A to a pre set favorite when driving. Select several gas station brands as favorites Setting each navigation as private or company trip for easier management on mileage
Awesome GPS app and it works excellent. The best one so far. I would give it a 5 star but the only issue I have is the white turn arrow in front of the big blue navigation arrow that covers the main direction-navigation line. It makes it harder to see where you suppose to be turning left or right. Have to look further onward to see. I would suggest Waze to remove the white turn arrow altogether to make your turn more visible on the map or change the color to something different than white. Besides that, the best GPS app out there and I've tried many of them. Will update it to a 5 star once they remove the white turn arrow or change the color altogether.
November 17, 2017 update: latest release has some nice fixes but the change to the banner (when following a route) when in horizontal node is a mixed blessing. It has been moved to left of screen and enlarged. So turns and alerts are easier to see. It also means vehicle placement is now at right of screen reducing how far to the east you can see (when in lock north up mode). Seeing ahead to the west is also impacted when there is an alert. Since I always use lock north up mode, and generally use route in horizontal mode for EW and vertical for NS I'm not a fan of this particular change.
This app is almost there! The leave later part where you plan when you want to arrive by no longer works it just shows a blank screen. I liked this because I can plan all my daily journeys . The other feature is the teams. There is only one available and I don't know what it's for but it changed nothing. Other than this a great app especially when you need to divert
Sucks for stops you need to make en route. You can't choose a destination from the map, you have to try to figure out the address from looking at the map and then go back to the address listings to choose, all of which is no fun while driving. And it does not hesitate to take you BACKWARDS in your route rather than suggest the most efficient location based on your final destination.
Used this vs a few others and this won hands down. Will say my biggest issue is the lack of options to help change map. My town has many diffent streets all with their own speed limits and when I try to sudjest edit it says for whole town. Not sure if that just a default message or not but still. Also the limits never changed.
