November 17, 2017 update: latest release has some nice fixes but the change to the banner (when following a route) when in horizontal node is a mixed blessing. It has been moved to left of screen and enlarged. So turns and alerts are easier to see. It also means vehicle placement is now at right of screen reducing how far to the east you can see (when in lock north up mode). Seeing ahead to the west is also impacted when there is an alert. Since I always use lock north up mode, and generally use route in horizontal mode for EW and vertical for NS I'm not a fan of this particular change.
Used this vs a few others and this won hands down. Will say my biggest issue is the lack of options to help change map. My town has many diffent streets all with their own speed limits and when I try to sudjest edit it says for whole town. Not sure if that just a default message or not but still. Also the limits never changed.
Somehow I keep coming back to this app after trying any other - both free and paid. It is probably one of the most convenient UIs for a GPS app, and it knows things that others don't. Now that roaming costs in EU are gone, Waze is even more attractive. It does lack a couple of nice features though - like lane navigation. Hope to see it one day...
It's a wonderful app and I am definitely giving it a 5 star without a doubt. Let's hope it gets better and never go down. I want to suggest one update. Can you update the app so that it shows how many exit a particular roundabout has which will help the drivers in choosing lane it will save us drivers being horned at by other drivers for sudden change of lane. It will also be very helpful if the app can suggest the best lane to be when coming to a roundabout like how google map does.
Sucks for stops you need to make en route. You can't choose a destination from the map, you have to try to figure out the address from looking at the map and then go back to the address listings to choose, all of which is no fun while driving. And it does not hesitate to take you BACKWARDS in your route rather than suggest the most efficient location based on your final destination.
This has changed how I drive! I no longer stick with the same route, regardless of traffic, because I don't know if a different route will be quicker! Listening to traffic reports on the radio is not nearly as accurate as this! I use this for everyday travel & out of state travel. I'd be lost (or forever stuck in traffic) without this! Lol
