Review from A Google User
Great app I use it all the time and it does a great job. Could use a carpool mode and I have problems submitting hazards by voice. The speedometer also seems to overlap with the other parts of the display.
ETA prediction has gotten better. Doesn't keep Waze on top when making phone calls. Doesn't recognize if I deviate off a major highway and follow a parallel service road. The police reporting feature needs to give you more advanced warning. Needs to dim the screen like Google maps to conserve battery life. needs better voice command control, "ok Google".
Search is still dismal. By category brings up few results. Tap you parent company please for POI. Most functional Waze yet! Navigation seems spot on and not obtrusive like Google's offering. Like the fresh look. Love the send ETA so people I choose can monitor my drive. Few things...1. Could use lane assist. 2. Need to get links from Yelp, Google Now, and other websites to share the actual destination not unknown street address 3. Heads up notification needed when in other apps and driving. 4. Point of destination...Use Google data and pics rather than user pics? 5. Organize favorites into categories!!
The only thing that make me use this as secondary and Google maps as primary is the snap position on roads close to each other, it wont know if I decide to take a very close parallel road like express or local instead what is planed, from this point ahead on a trip you can see a big mess brewing if you are not paying attention. Google maps know when you change very close parallel road.
It does a great job and very well designed. It most cases, the speed it displays is lower by up to 10% of the actual driving speed due to normal delays through GPS signals. Could you also allow in Speedometer section "When to show alert" at -5% and -10% below the speed limit, so the alert could compensate accordingly and more accurately ... Many Thanks
I use this all the time work my iPad mini now and a special holder. Better than an expensive navigation system in my car. it is user friendly, helps out other drivers by getting advance warning on things around them or in the direction they're heading. Map chat is useful to add details.
Jan 2017 update- having issues with "No GPS, showing approximate location" error on new pixel phone, reinstalled one last time after clearing data and cache on Waze and maps, it didn't work - uninstalling now. May 2015- Used many, best one so far, love the live updates for traffic especially in the mornings on the way to work.

- Auto complete distance: See the distance to any location as you type it in the Search box, with new auto complete distance feature
- Minor bug fixes and improvements
