Not impressed. The weather radio is vague and not a noaa report. The weather radio on this application tells you the temperature and that the sky is clear, even when it's raining..... There are free apps out there that give you that little bit of information and more accurate. If this app had a real noaa radio feed I would give it 5 stars and it would be worth the money. Instead I just donated $4.95. Maybe some day this app will be updated with a noaa feed. If and when that update comes, I will update my review.
Not a weather radio I bought this thinking I could listen to streaming NOAA stations. VERY misleading to call it a weather radio. Will be requesting a refund from Google and asking them to force you to change the name instead of scamming users with false naming. Currently a tropical storm hitting Savannah, GA and I wanted to listen since my family lives there. Added Savannah and received no "alerts" - just an option to press play to listen to it read the normal forecast of my current location. Completely useless.
What happened? This was a really good app. It always broke in and told me what was going on during bad weather. It doesn't do anything anymore other than read my current forcast after I go in and push play. Even the radar sucks. What happened? I've been waiting for a update to fix it but haven't seen any improvement so far. I'm sorry I want to give you five big stars because it really was a great app. Please fix it.
Saved my life - but doesn't work anymore :( It's quite useful; I like being able to look at tornado warnings, etc., across the country to see what's going on. This app literally saved us from driving straight into a tornado on Christmas Day 2015; however, I no longer receive any alerts, and I frequently have to force close the app and re-start it to get updated radar. I don't use it much anymore just because it's not as reliable as it used to be, although I would happily use it again if these bugs are fixed. It's also not very intuitive.
Better than my weather radio The NWS signal where I live is pitiful. I have called them about it, but they tell me, "You can get an email (when the tornado is about to mow your house down!) " I don't want damned email or text message. I need something that will wake me up. Since I have a strong WiFi in my house this is no problem. Good app. Informative. Easily worth $5. Thanks, Art S for recommending it to me.
Great Weather Alert App I'm a storm chaser and I use this app religiously. I have to leave my family at home often times during severe weather. We all have smart phones and this app alerts them in the event I can't. Absolutely love it.
