This is a multiple-choice quiz where you look at a picture of a stone and guess its name.

Correctly identified stones are registered in your "Personal Encyclopedia," and their origins are displayed on a map of Japan.

This is not an app that identifies stones you photograph. It's an encyclopedia where you are presented with questions, answer them, and collect them.

■ Over 170 types of minerals, gemstones, rocks, stone materials, and fossils
From classics like quartz and amethyst to specimens like pyrite, azurite, and stibnite,
and rocks like granite, basalt, and chert.
Includes 60 types of minerals, 52 types of gemstones, 25 types of rocks, 15 types of stone materials, and 20 types of fossils.

Over 330 photos are included. Even the same mineral or fossil can look very different depending on the specimen,
so for stones with multiple photos, you can compare them using "View Other Specimens."

■ Five Ways to Play
• Standard – Stones that are easy to identify by appearance; stones whose names you should know first.
• Niche – Stones you might encounter at mineral shows or specimen fairs.
• Knowledge – Origins, properties, and interesting facts in multiple-choice questions (over 220 questions).
• Local – Choose a prefecture from the map of Japan and find stones associated with that region.
• Exam – Only rocks and minerals covered in high school earth science.

10 questions per set. Explanations are provided even if you get the answer wrong, so the more unfamiliar the stone, the more valuable each question becomes.

■ Local Stones and "Prefectural Stones"
Based on the "Prefectural Stones" selected by the Geological Society of Japan in 2016, we've linked stones to 39 prefectures, combining famous production areas (such as Itoigawa jade,
Yamanashi quartz, etc.) and production areas of branded stones.
Tap a prefecture on the map to see stones associated with that prefecture.

The mini-map on the illustrated card highlights the prefecture where the rock originates.

■ Exam - Rocks and Minerals in High School Earth Science
This mode features only rocks and minerals covered in high school earth science (basic earth science and earth science).
From rock-forming minerals such as quartz, feldspar, pyroxene, and amphibole, to the classification of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks,
you can review over 30 types and 70 questions with photos and multiple-choice options.
It covers topics such as the classification of igneous rocks by SiO₂ content and color index, the difference between equigranular and porphyritic textures, the relationship between basalt and gabbro, and how to distinguish between limestone and chert (whether bubbles appear in dilute hydrochloric acid), which are tested in the Common University Entrance Examination for Earth Science.
Rocks that cannot be identified by photos alone, such as rock-forming minerals, are presented in written questions.
The illustrated card is marked with "Exam," allowing you to review only the rocks covered in the exam.

■ Birthstones and Stones Used in Gravestones and Architecture
Birthstone cards are marked with the birth month. Cards are available for all months from January to December.
Fifteen types of domestically produced, high-quality stones used in gravestones and architecture, such as Aji stone, Oshima stone, Inada stone, and Oya stone, are also included, along with their origin, main uses, and stone texture.
You can learn the names of stones used by stonemasons, along with the prefecture of origin.

■ Encyclopedia Cards
Name, pronunciation, classification, chemical formula, Mohs hardness, crystal system, map of origin, and explanation.
Photos can be enlarged by pinching or tapping (to check crystal shape and streak).
You can also view your collection rate and display only the stones you have collected.

■ Other Features
- Results can be shared using an emoji grid (answers remain hidden)
- Sound effects and vibrations can be turned off
- Quizzes, the encyclopedia, and the Japan map all work without an internet connection (internet connection is used for displaying ads)
- No in-app purchases

This app does not discuss the effects of power stones.

It focuses on how the stone was formed, what it's made of, and where it can be found.

Only verifiable information is presented with photos and short explanations.

For those who love minerals and gemstones, children doing science projects, students studying geology,
and those curious about the names of stone materials and tombstones.
