Surf Stoked saves you hours on planning your sessions and sharing your pics with the world, so you can spend less time organizing and more time surfing!
You are on repeat.
All of us surfers are.
Every time you plan a session with your crew, every time you upload those session pics online, you're repeating similar actions again and again.
This is awesome news! Here's why: Anything that is repeated can be computerized down to an app.
What if your phone did all the organizing and sharing of your surf sessions for you? What if you could plan a session with your friends in less than 10 seconds, send pics from the beach in two taps, and share and chat about the photos you take during the session in another under a minute?
You pop open your Surf Stoked app, tap "Plan", and post up where (Stoked Point) and when (Friday at 6pm) you wanna hit the waves. You can also give some description (Sweet conditions for glassy barrels).
Then you choose who you want to invite via Surf Stoked and Facebook (facebook functionality coming soon). Hit "Invite", and Surf Stoked automatically invites your friends via their phones and an auto-generated Facebook event (coming soon). It also automatically looks up the wave heights, wind direction, and temperature for your session via Magic Sea Weed, and shares that with everyone.
If they're down to come, they just hit "Going" in the reply area and you'll know they're in. They can also comment and start a conversation.
Boom, a few taps and everyone knows what's up. No going back and forth, no text, email, whatsapp or any of that. Just schedule, get replies, and hit the waves.
You're chilling on the beach with a beer and your phone, taking a break from the surf and snapping pics. One great shot of your buddy in a barrel and you wanna tease your friends by showing it off.
Tap "Tease" in the Surf Stoked app, choose your pic (or take a new one), and which friends you want to send it to. They'll immediately get that pic, and your comments, on their phones in real time. You can also share it to your Facebook wall (coming soon), Instagram feed (coming soon), and FourSquare account (coming soon) with one tap. It's like Instagram, with real-time delivery.
Post-session, Surf Stoked automatically (coming soon) asks if you wanna share the pics you took on your phone while you were out. You choose which shots you like, how the waves, wind, and session went (bad to epic), and what you thought.Your shots, along with everyone else in the session, get made into one group album on Surf Stoked and optionally on Facebook (coming soon), so you know where to find all your buddies' shots too .
And it takes you less than a minute. Now let the conversation flow with your crew in Surf Stoked and, if you want, on Facebook (coming soon).
Do you dig a certain type of conditions? Surf Stoked will keep an eye on your sessions and let you know when the conditions for an awesome session are going to happen at a nearby beach. (coming soon)
Wanna get some sweet deals on surfer gear? You get points for using Surf Stoked, that can be used to unlock exclusive deals at nearby surf shops, resorts, and schools. (coming soon)
Wanna get some sweet shots? You can share your future locations with pro photographers, who will show up at the beaches you're at and snap some shots of you. You'll get a notification when a pro photographer uploads a day's pics, and you can buy yours if you like it. (coming soon)
Wanna set up a ride-share. Stoked Apps is developing a short-ride-share app that you can access via Surf Stoked to get everyone in as few cars as possible. (coming soon)
Here's to more time surfing and less time planning!
