Mobile deposits coming! OK, the user interface is clunky at best. My main interest in the App is to make mobile deposits, which are currently only enabled for a few states (based on where the account was opened). I dove deep into the WF phone support and discovered that mobile deposits are being field tested now and are due for a national roll out to all states in November-December 2012. If you have a WF Advisors investment account, mobile deposits will be possible only to your Command account that has check writing capability, not all investment accounts. When the update the app for mobile deposits, I really hope they'll improve the UI too.
I love this app because I don't need to make trips to the bank. I started working for a new company nearly 2 years ago and unfortunately they don't have direct deposit set up for their employees, so that meant more trip s to the bank for me. But then I downloaded this app and now I take a picture of the front/back of my payroll check and hit deposit... done!. I also can transfer funds to n from my savings or checking, send and accept money from a friend/family account, pay my bills. I rarely need to take a trip to the bank unless I need cash... folding dead presidents.
It was better before it was redesigned. Now the Search function doesn't work when I am searching for specific transactions by keywords using the app. I hit Go and it just stares at me. I tried the search function on the home page to just search for anything and it worked fine. I don't like that you can't adjust your Bill Payees on the app and that you have to use the website. Sometimes transactions show up as posted on the website but not on the app which makes it frustrating to trust if the app is accurate or not. Also there is no specific spot in the app to get help with the app itself. Where do we send bugs that we find? I don't to keep coming back to the Play Store to look for the developer contact info.
Mobile deposit of checks is frustrating. Takes forever to get a focused and lined up check. I've used a tablet AND cell and still no difference. After several tries, I just hit the submit button and hope for the best. So far, all checks deposited have gone through and have been accepted. Other than that issue, I like the app and it is very "user friendly". I live in Canada, so having this app is a money and time saver!
Not sure what the issue is exactly but I've had this issue twice now and I don't think its a coincidence anymore. My phone will have a decent amount of charge left, somewhere in the 40's the first time and maybe around upper 30's this time, and out of nowhere my phone will restart and once it's booted up I'll get a pop up saying Wells Fargo isnt responding and my battery will be 4% (this time) or 5% (the last time). The issue is is that I dont even have the app open at all when this happens. The app is nice to use but whatever this issue is it needs to be fixed.
Keyword search for transactions does not work. Lots of annoying usability issues. Please allow copy/paste in the app, especially when adding a new account for transfers. This is not a desktop where you can have two windows side by side to look up account# in one and enter it into the other. Allow to enter amounts without prepopulating the format and having me add a gazillion zeros to get the decimal places right.
I HATE that this app has to take over my phone to tell me I'm now logged out! Playing a game? Following map directions? Having a video chat? It doesn't matter... The WF app forces itself in front of everything else to tell you that you're no longer logged in. This app makes me want to find a new bank!
