Five star material EDIT: just faced the queen of maggots and it stopped taking damage at around 20% hp and was invincible please fix. This game was incredibly original and fun to play, though a little short (why even have an ending? Keep making it harder or different procedurally!). I would absolutely love to see new features and updates to it and that would keep me coming back to it. Overall a very fun game and excellent value. Five stars and great job.
Can't believe this gem was hidden in the app store I've bought games and not necessarily regretted it, but I have had moments of disappointment. This is a game I bought because the screen looked cool and it was 99¢. I've spent the last week searching everywhere for similar games just to continue getting my Bxnes fix. Responsive. Can't stress that enough. You feel "in the game", and it looks amazing.
WARNING - Sleeper Hit! Think Diablo meets Turok! An awesome 'rogue-like' with a twist! Mate yourself to a genealogical safety net - your offspring become your path to success and longevity in this wonderful 16bit isometeric RPG! Survive in a prehistoric world where no IAP exsits, upgrade your stats and search the Eastern sea with it's procedurally generated islands. Juicy GFX, atmospheric SFX and music make this THE ARPG mobile game to have bar none!!!
Love it but its tough. I know that's the point but its TOUGH. You really need to know what your doing in any battle because most enemies are actually strong, and boss fights, ha, well, hope you have a son so you can die then walk through because I have YET to beat a single boss. Yet, I keep going back. Every game is different, and I find myself using different strategies every time, depending on what I'm up against. Definitely a 4.5, but the playstote only allows whole numbers, so, 4, because 5 is too perfect.
Really good. It's almost a pure rogue like, but you can purchase more lives. You're always deciding on upgrading abilities or generating offspring (extra lives) because they both cost pelts, this games currency. It has great retro diablo/fallout style graphics it's fluid, and original looking. You decide between 5 or so different tribes that all look the same, but have different base stats. Your town is basically a bunch of drift wood with some shanties. You take this from island to island. Out of words, get it!!
Amazing amazing amaaazing! One of the most fun games I've played. But I'm not gonna talk about the greatness, here I'll adress the small cons it's got. First of all, the game runs smoothly EXCEPT for when the fire geysers come on screen. When they come up, it gets borderline unplayable. Second of all, the hit boxes are very quirky, as expected of isometric games but still. Sometimes your attacks just won't land no matter what, and sometimes they do. Third of all, the controls themselves are well... okay at best.
