it is a good idea, but need to work on the guides for new users.. i got stuck at how to start driving to the location through the web address.. also the website on mobiles need more improvement on the look & feel.. the idea is brilliant but it will be copied by big companies if you dont make contracts with big shipment companies best of luck
Incredible idea to help people find what they want. Can be used to pin point the exact place in big buildings too. Love to developers! Let's adopt this and scrap the useless system we have now.
This is one of the stupidest ideas I've seen in a long time. It's essentially DRM for latitude and longitude. It doesn't help poor and remote communities at all because it still requires a device to use at which point you might as well get a GPS device. To use it either you A) have your own device which tells you your location at which point you again could have just used GPS, or B) someone WITH a device had to come and tell you your address and write it down for you, which again they could have just done with lat/long. Now suppose you live at (dumb.ass.idea) and you need to get an ambulance as they say in the video. You (call? wait you have a phone? just use it's GPS) the emergency services and tell them "Hey, I live at (dumb.ass.idea) please help me" and they say "Sure be right there". Now, the Ambulance MUST have a What3Words device or app. So now THEY could have just used GPS. If they are located at (stupid.coordinate.system) and they know you live at (dumb.ass.idea) that is no help in navigating to you. You can't say "oh, (dumb.ass.idea) is southwest of here" because you have no clue. there's no inherent logic to the system, unlike lat/long.
Can't use my account until I verify my email address, but never got a verify mail to be able to do this. How can I get another verification mail?
The idea is amazing but I think it needs to be known by the public before it becomes effective
It is very easy, It will be better if it can be used for navigation
Fixes the compass to read in metres lower than 1km.
