High quality voice and video calls
Make secure video and voice calls with up to 8 people for free*. Your calls work across mobile devices using your phone’s Internet service, even on slow connections.
Group chats to keep you in contact
Stay in touch with your friends and family. End-to-end encrypted group chats let you share messages, photos, videos and documents across mobile and desktop.
Stay connected in real time
Share your location with only those in your individual or group chat, and stop sharing at any time. Or record a voice message to connect quickly.
Share daily moments through Status
Status allows you to share text, photos, video and GIF updates that disappear after 24 hours. You can choose to share status posts with all your contacts or just selected ones.
Use WhatsApp on your Wear OS watch to continue conversations, reply to messages, and take calls - all from your wrist. And, leverage tiles and complications to easily access your chats and send voice messages.

Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.
Since the last 2-3 updates, the application works the same but the bottom part with the emoticons is different, it takes up a lot of space and after you write and hit enter you no longer see the written message, you have to go back so that the space where you wrote disappears to see actually what you wrote. It's annoying to make two extra moves to check what you wrote. Please return to the way it was before. It was simple and beautiful. Thank you

There's no feature to share my screen. Update 1/14/2023 Can you please make it possible to share my screen during video chat? It would be much appreciated. Thank you so much. Update: Changed my review to 4 stars 🤩 They added the screen recording feature! The only downside that I have to deal with still is that in order to connect the bluetooth earpiece you have to disconnect the call and then call the person back if you didn't have it connected prior to the call. It's so annoying!

The app tries to improve, but takes a step backwards with each update. The app has had a good track record. If only the app did not become more and more buggy with each update. They have added really cool features that do improve the app. Some not so much. For example, the emoji panel. They've changed the placement of the "delete" key, and was replaced by the flags icon. For a long term user (most of us) this is incredibly annoying. So much more, but I'm at my word limit.

• You can now send higher resolution images in chat. To get started, tap the ‘HD’ button when previewing media before sending. • Screen sharing is now supported in video calls. Start a video call and tap on the new “screen share” button to get started.
These features will roll out over the coming weeks. Thanks for using WhatsApp!
