App update eliminated all my saved stories
RACE baiters Publish cartoons that promotes hatred and violence between the police and the community. Cashing in on a touchy subject in an irresponsible way.
Looks good. Just downloaded the app and liked the features. I enjoy the extra pictures I would not be able to see with a traditional paper and I like the ability to share articles. I do prefer an exact replica of the day's paper but this will work for me especially when the printed paper can not be delivered.
Once worked well, now only headlines This app, along with that for Calkins' sibling Intelligencer, both worked nicely for awhile on our v4.2.2 LG G2 phones, but no longer. Most (but not all) days over the past few weeks, this app has displayed only headlines and a few words from each story, then insists upon a paid sub to read the rest. This isn't the case with the Courier's regular online reports, which display each story in full for one day before requiring a sub. So, if you want to read a current Courier story, skip this app and, instead, go to their regular website, then pinch and swipe to make the story readable. Best guess is that this shortcoming is inadvertent, because about the same time this app tanked, the print icons at their website quit working. So perhaps they'll eventually wake up and fix things, which would turn this into a useful four-star app.
Unbelievable Now you have to be a current subscriber to the paper to read the stories on the app?!?! Sorry, what's the point of the app then? App will now be deleted.
