Still have some random issues occasionally. Too little control among all the settings which could be changed. /// Answer to Firstech (2017/02/28): Regarding the issues, most often are the connection and communication failures due to the very poor network coverage, and generally still using and just dressing a technology at least 10 years old. Regarding the settings, despite the big subscription fees, in all these years the only significant change of the app was for the graphic interface when the app was updated to make it compatible with Android 6, but there are tens of options and settings which can be changed only with the remote or the OP500 programer. At least few of them could be considered, like the drive lock, the auto relock and rearm, the remote start run time, the silent arm / disarm, the shock sensor turn on / off, the cold and hot start and their options, the defroster control, the low battery voltage points, the horn output, the antenna power save, the alarm and the remote start error diagnostic. Plus, the most annoying in my case, still not finding a solution for avoiding the Toyotas' engine stop when open the door after a remote start.
Good functionality and features. Has a fairly annoying delay over a remote. Takes 5 seconds or so for mine to complete command to truck. Get communication errors once every couple of weeks. Battery voltage reads wrong more often than right even with new batteries. Still cool to have. Love the tracking aspect for theft piece of mind.
I have had this since it's inception many years ago and three vehicles ago it has always been 50/50 which app your going to open the one that is amazing and works or the one that can never make contact and you get (201) error code. I live in the coldest regions in the USA and when you need your car to start and it's a constant fail it's frustrating when your investment is nothing but a let down. Move on try another company this app is just garbage and zero customer support. They supposed fix for error 201 is to remove your battery and reset your drone unit have done it twice so far helps for a little bit then back to fail. ..the lastest update seems to have dramatically improved the 201 error codes and seems to have helped the reliability factor moving to a 3 star now
Great app but it's really frustrating having to log in every single time I want to use the app. Why does it think I'm new to the app everytime I log in giving me the "welcome tour". I had this app/alarm running on my car about 6 months ago before I took it off the road to modify some things and the free trial ended. Now that I just payed $150 to renew it for a year, its acting so bad that it makes me not even want to use it. Please someone reply and tell me why this is happening or how to fix it. It was fine on the free trial! I just want the app to stay logged in for me. Once this is addressed or fixed I will then give it a higher star rating. Thank you.
Prior to 2/23/17, App was ok. Not great, but It did what it was expected for the most part. What i mean was, i would always, always get an error the first try... it never just worked the first time, weather it was to start the car, lock it, etc... now, since they did an update on 2/23/17, the app is useless.. does not work at all... constantly get error 201 (vehicle not responding). No solution is available. The app sucks.. i really hope they fix it soon.. 700$ for something that works "sometimes" was bad, but now for one that doesn't work at all ???? Ridiculous.
Commands have been hit and miss. When I first installed it, the commands worked everything, I go to show it to a friend, and the app kept timing out, module is installed with a clear view of the sky, so not sure why it times out. Also would be nice to change the settings so I only get alerts about the engine starting if the car is armed, I really don't need a text alert to tell me the car is running when I'm sitting in the drivers seat and just started the car, far too many alerts. More customization in the settings and preferences on premium would be nice, and also setting up a geofence when armed. Maybe I'm just missing something?
