The Big Stampede 2017

Wild in Art is a leading creative producer of spectacular, mass-appeal public art events, which connect businesses, artists and communities through the power of creativity and innovation. Wild in Art has partnered with Hamilton BID to bring uniquely designed and painted herd of safari animals to Hamilton as part of The Big Stampede 2017 — a world class sculpture trail of elephants, giraffes, lions, gorillas and rhinos through the streets, parks, and open spaces of Hamilton. How many safari animals will you find on your art trail?

All of the animals will spread colour and cheer throughout Hamilton, and each sculpture is decorated by local professional artists and school children throughout the area.

The event is a large-scale free public art exhibition and showcase, demonstrating the artistic flare and talent of the town. As an attraction for all to see and explore, this will positively contribute to the economic, social and cultural life of the town; more importantly, the art trails will help to raise awareness and raise vital funds for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Beginning on the 23rd June 2017, The Big Stampede will be on show for ten weeks during the summer, capturing the imagination of Hamilton and all of those who come to visit.

Come along during The Big Stampede art trail, and see all of the colourful animals that Hamilton has to offer this summer!
