DOES NOT WORK - easy to bypass restrictions After setting up it first seemed to work, but within a few seconds I was able to bypass the restrictions, simply by exiting the Wi-fi Parent app from the phone's task manager. It is ridiculously easy to do. No need for even a task killer app. With 2 strokes your app can be quickly disabled, by anyone! Then wi-fi turns on without a problem, and internet browsing can be resumed. Wi-fi is no longer blocked unless Wi-fi Parent is manually opened again. I tried this several times before eventually uninstalling. Requesting Refund.
Could be much better This app seems to do what I need.... well seems because it's not really clear what it is doing... I wanted to restrict WiFi, mainly to prevent Wifi Tethering at certain times.... this does seem to work based on the limited testing I have done. If I try to run Chrome or the stock Browser a Wifi Parent screen displays instead which is OK but considering mobile data is still active it isn't ideal. Which brings me on to Mobile Data (3G/4G) this still seems to be active... luckily that's not a problem for me but I guess for many parents they will want to stop Wifi and mobile data. I don't need to restrict calls or texts but the Whitelist only seem apply to these. It would be nice to be able to have a mobile data block and also have certain apps that are able to access a data connection
Ridiculous Tried it. It was so easy to bypass. If my kid would be stupid enough to be blocked by this app, I wouldn't buy him a smartphone in the first place. Also, the UI design is from like 2010.
Doesnt work! It doesn't automatically restrict the SMS when its supposed to. I want a refund.
Basic But Works Seems to do what we expect it to - GOOD Feature Request: - Can you add a timer based restriction? I would like to give the kids a device allowance based on screen time, so being able to say that they can use the device for say 60 minutes per day and have the application track that would be GREAT! Overall, the application is worth it!
Why is my WiFi off? WiFi turned off when it wasn't restricted andveven when I deleted restrictions! It works on other devices... why not this one???
